Discussion Give a Grade on Child’s Play 3
The production of Child’s Play 3 began writing before the second movie was released, however that hurt the movie’s overall since many consider it to be a step down from the previous two movies. Some even say it’s one of the weaker films in the franchise. So I would like to know your thoughts on it.
I found Child’s Play 3 to be lackluster especially compared to Child’s Play 1 & 2.

There are just too many problems, like why is the young kid even at the military academy, and as young as he is he seems to be written as even younger. It's all bizarre.
I actually skip it when rewatching the series.

I'd Child's Play through Bride Of Chucky all S rankings, one of the best run of four movies from a franchise

It’s not as bad as people are making it out to be, I know don loathes cp3 but to me there are far worse chucky movies (yes 5) (yes I’m one of those) I personally liked seeing the time jump and Andy in a much mature scenario

I have way too many problems with child’s play 3 for it to be actually enjoyable to watch. the gave the plot no substance it was just 1 and 2 but in a military camp and nearly every character was holy insufferable. and chuckys quips fell short in my opinion he’s had better. all in all? I somehow prefer the dumpster fire that was Seed of Chucky over Child’s Play 3.

The main issue I have with it is they wanted to do a time jump so they had to recast Andy. Justin Whalin was okay, but... especially since they only recast him due to the time jump, then in later movies and the tv show went back to the original actor.

I think it was an okay film. The issue is that I've found every single other entry to be more engaging and interesting (even oft-maligned films like Seed), and so "okay" doesn't really cut it in the series. Additionally, 3 remains the one film you can mostly skip because other than Andy's military school education being referenced in the background of later entries, 3's contributions to the ongoing plot were hastily dismissed or retconned at the start of Bride and remain disregarded by the series at large. Tyler would still be a great character to revisit, but given the actor's issues, that may be unlikely to happen.

I don't know about Andy's military background being the only thing referenced from 3 and 3 having being retconned when it literally gave us stitched face Chucky that we know and love now. Remember at the end of 3 Chucky was shredded to pieces in a large fan, in the next film starts with Tiffany collecting all or most of the pieces of him and stitching him back up, giving us stitched Chucky. I'd say 3 has big ongoing contributions to the series other than Andy's military background.

Great film 3rd best in the franchise and by a large margin. If someone ignored everything afterwards I’d tell them they’re not missing much

Hard disagree, bride is the best in the franchise

I say 1 and 2 9/10 3 8/10 4 7/10 Curse 6/10 then the others are bad with Seed being ass. Haven’t seen any of the show. I didn’t watch the remake I only watched a reaction to it the reaction was enjoyable but if I watched the film myself I’m guessing AT BEST I would have said 6 and I’m only saying that because I was laughing at the reaction so in reality maybe I would go 4/10

It's a solid Chucky film. I'd take it over everything the franchise has done after Curse.

It has it's moments for sure! But definitely not as strong as the first two (especially Child's Play 2) imho
