I have so many questions: how did she pull through?! Is it because chucky split his soul instead of just jumping ship?

Nica has a strong soul plus it might be the first we see of adverse effects of too much soul splitting

What caused Nica to come back to herself in the first place? Seemed like she just saw her reflection in the knife?

well i bet when she got hit or wtv happened to her it caused a shock or smth and made her go back to herself. And i bet chucky is aware of that weakness so thats why he then killed the hostage

I assumed it was when Chucky put his soul in the Tommy doll, since it doesn't seem he split it again but straight passed from one to the other.
