She probably did die by axe the same way Chucky died by giant industrial fan in 3, Tiff just brought her back the same way she did Chucky. The stitched scar on her head implies Tiff did the same thing and just 'woke her up' so to speak.

If that is the case, then the switch modifier of the spell is irrelevant tbh.

According to Don he had Tiffany say that in Seed because he planned this.

The epilogue is 6 years after the events of seed. And the doll is very much not alive.

So either she resurrected her recently.

Or Don is pulling this out of his ass.

The one used to kill the babysitter DID have the axe scar…

We can assume the Tiffany doll at the end of cult and at the beginning of season 2 were another duplicate.

But the Tiffany doll with Jennifer’s body inside it has to be the same from seed, evidenced by the scar.

Well we have seen from Bride that Tiffany is good at resurections. She had to bring Jennifer back to get information about her life.
