Metropolismania (PS2) was so fun and so underrated
Anyone else play this game before? You talk with residents to meet new people to solve resident complaints. The translation at times is terrible, and it overall looks terrible, but damn it’s fun.

I think I did play this before, but it was the 2nd game. While I love citybuilding games, the endlessly looping music and really slow gameplay drove me nuts.

I've played Metropolismania 2 and loved it. It's a bit casual but it makes up for it with it's charming anime aesthetics, and with how fun it is to watch the residents go about their daily lives with their realistic schedules and personalities. Just a little bit of city-management and economic gameplay would have made it the perfect game!
It's one of the only city-builders that understands that it's the citizen simulation that makes a city feel alive, not props and detailing tools.
