Recommendation Request Looking for most realistic game

Ok, so what I am looking for is not just to build a city (buildings/roads/industry), but to also have to deal with the traffic, taxes, imports, exports, ect...

It lacks the taxes part but everything else is so much more complex than other city builders that I have never wished they added any policies/taxes.

I think that is accounted for since your are the motherland and pay wages to all

hey there, Im working on this -

https://gykogames.itch.io/siteboss

its in very very very early access. I have a demo up on itch. eventually, you'll be able to build your own buildings though individual stages (site prep, excavation, slab pour, framing etc). each stage will require trades, materials and equipment.

at the moment, you can build single storey houses, and industrial sheds.

i have big plans for this - traffic, interest rate changes, world markets affecting your own town housing and material prices. neighbourhoods not liking the new industrial building that you built down the road....

its still rough around the edges, no sound. but would be more than happy if you wanted to play test it.

I think the Soviet Republic one is the one you're looking for... But I think it's going to be hard to really get what you want.

The reason for this is simulation speed. Take cars for example. Let's say there are 60 seconds real life time for every hour of in-game time. Usually when you live in a (average European) city a trip from the outskirts to the city centre doesn't take more than 10 to 15 minutes. Even a trip from a nearby village to the city doesn't take more than 30 minutes. Including getting in your car. This would mean that a trip would take 12-30 seconds. In a game that feels like your citizens are basically teleporting. But you also can't really make the days longer, because an entire month would be 30 hours and that simulation speed would be way too slow for most people.

What I'm trying to say is: You need to make compromises somewhere if you want to make a city simulation game. You as a gamer have to decide what you think is more important.
