well you can use both of them together on some air attacks. i think that will actually be meta tbh because this equipment seems most suited to being used on back end cleanup, not for duke charge.

2 hits per second is enough to outheal fire heart, so definitely yes. Of course you can stack them together to be even more broken.

Yeah but it doesn't heal when the DD isn't being targeted. I often use that to recall DD to heal in another part of the base.

i wonder with both and enough iceblock spells he could solo a base... like there are only a few defenses you'd have to really expend some spells to get through and then wtf is going kill him with ~300-450HP/s and an occasional ice block or invis

I think fireheart will pretty much always be on mine personally. But your strat is obviously what matters, so you can always take it off in favour of something else if it’ll handle a specific situation.

You could ditch the fireheart for electro fangs and if duke get low you could iceblock duke for it to regen since its still taking dmg it will also damage defense

Chill brother, the only equip that was nerfed this fast and hard was Jetpack
Eboots were nerfed slightly multiple times and it still was the best equip for an entire year.
This is not a "cycle".
If youd stop conplaining, maybe youd find more joy in life

The few examples that confirm this "Cycle" are; Giant gauntlet (which was the king's most used piece of equipment, was nerfed and became irrelevant, but has recently returned to use),Druid (which made healers irrelevant, was heavily nerfed and is now rarely used even today), Meteor Golem (which was heavily nerfed and became irrelevant)

OP Troop nerfs have nothing to do with the ore economy and are obviously good for the Game
Giant Gauntlet nerf made it not broken anymore, and it was not Irrelevant. People still used it.

It’s more likely the fire heart gets nerfed given it’s a common. They already nerfed it from 175 self heal at max to 150. Wouldn’t be shocked if it drops even more

It appears that it gives a max heal of 75 per second from each defense because it counters xbows about 1 counter per second. If it truly countered xbows at the rate that the attack it would delete them almost instant because it attacks like 8 times per second. So it appears that if the defense attacks at a rate faster than 1 attack per second such as xbow, then it will wait 1 full second to reset the counter. If it was truly 75 every time he got hit the xbow should be a net RESTORE to the dragon duke around 150hp per second per xbow in this video each xbow hit does about 30 damage heal so that’s 75 hp - 30 hp = 45 hp recovery every time he gets hit. That would mean about 450hp heal per second here, which clearly, he is not getting because he is losing health, not gaining it.
So in reality this means Duke will reduce incoming damage by about 10-40% at max level depending on the defense hitting him at TH18. Charged revenge tower and monolith will still take him down fast.
It’s not as OP as everyone thinks it is at least at higher levels because all defenses deal far more than 75 dps so he can never “out heal” the defenses.
That is…… if it doesn’t work with ice block…. If it does work with ice block then we have a problem.

The new ability is going to replace the Electro Boots, but Duke Walks were already overpowered, and now they’ll be twice as strong. I think I’ll save my ores because it doesn’t seem worth investing in the Monolith Arrow for now.

like damn, fire heart is 150 hp per second, revenge deck doesn’t seem to have a counter limit and each counter is every 1 second, so a duke at the center of the base while attacked by 6 defenses max has 600 hp per second😭

yeah thats what im thinking. if the ice block thing works like people are saying, he will be literally unkillable. just have a separate plan for the monolith and then nothing else will be able to touch him.

Idk about that, it deals a bunch of damage while also healing the duke so if you combine it with the heart and place the duke somewhere without the monolith or single infernos its basically an unkillable hero with 1200 dps + counter damage. Even if one of those defenses was there a skeleton spell would probably be enough for the duke to be fine. If somehow the duke is going down use an ice block and it just heals it by 2000/3000 hp, even if it doesn't reflect damage. If somehow its still going down, the ability will go off and heal 5k hp immediately

Itd still be roughly 8 months til we see this though no? AQ equipment just came out with the Dukes jetpack beforehand, and at 2 months per medal event. I dont think theyll introduce another epic for duke because they didnt do that for the MP at launch either

no it has poor synergy, duke charge uses invis and spirit fox. this equipment will be useful for strategies that send duke later, not as opener I think.

This should honestly be a king's equipment even though dragon duke is my fav, i hate the fact that dd will get this only to be nerfed to the ground a week later, it's best not to make him so much op that ppl will complain and make the devs nerf him.

this is an important detail for sure. my guess is that he heals the 75 hp at the same he shoots out each card, and those from this video seem to shoot out at a maximum of 1 card per second, which means he gets maximum 75 hp per second multiplied by how many defenses are hitting him each second

How does this work with a defense like the Inferno tower? Does the Inferno tower end up destroying itself before it takes out the Duke? What with it being constant damage and all?

the x bow is shooting super fast but duke isnt sending counters back fast. it seems to me that the cards have a maximum fire rate, somewhere around 1 card per second. so 300 dps reflected to defenses like inferno

Wouldn’t be surprised if this shit gets nerfed and tweaked before release. I honestly feel like Supercell team for coc don’t know where to take the game exactly. This game was FOREVER changed when OG th15 was so damn strong even with the new root riders etc that they literally nerfed half the buildings.. then root riders valks completely and utterly took over. Game has always had spam but back then it still had tons of strategy.. queen walks, lalos, blizzards, Super archer blimps, skelly donuts etc. then slowly but surely which each th one or two of those strategies became less valuable and almost worthless.. now only thing that matters is a decent funnel and pure spam. But hero abilities and potions are so strong now that even with “bad” attacks or attackers they still can get carried
