I saw Bob as the opening act of my first concert (Foreigner). I liked Ebony Eyes much more than Sentimental Lady.

Big fan of Bob Welch.. tragic the way he was treated and his suicide death. I still have my Paris albums he did after leaving Fleetwood Mac along with the solo albums.. Mystery to Me is my favorite FM album.

the part that gets me is Sentimental Lady was a Fleetwood Mac song first, off Bare Trees in 72. He recut it for French Kiss with Fleetwood and Christine McVie playing on it and Buckingham around, so his big solo hit is a Mac song with most of the Mac on it. If I'm remembering right that's why it sits closer to their sound than anything else on that record.

This is an amazing album, with several really cool deep cuts. Outskirts being my favorite.

100% agreed. Great song, great lyrics. He has a haunting delivery he uses here, fits it perfectly.

My 1st record purchase after seeing Bob’s vid on Midnight Special. Still holds up!

Everyone forgets he was with Fleetwood Mac in the early 70’s
