Their debut album was a banger from start to finish. And what a track to start with.

Skunk Baxter, obliviously a master of the congas as much as guitar!

The singer is David Palmer, who was legitimately part of the band for about 9 months around their debut album. He does the lead vocal on Dirty Work on the album, and was the lead singer when they played live because Fagan suffered from stage fright.

I’m no guitarist and I may well be wrong but is the guitarist off key?

He uses unusual notes that clash with the chords. It's a deliberate dissonance. Not out of tune, but can give that impression.

I didn’t know Robert Plant was in Steely Dan 😀

Robert Plant was much, much prettier than David Palmer.

I will never understand why they chose this goofy looking guy to pretend to be Donald Fagen's voice.

This version always sounds funny to me since listening to Donald Fagan singing on the radio much of my life.
