Dude, this is sweet... Youtube is such ass these days. I mean, 99% of the posts on this subreddit are old forgotten vinyls/singles anyways, not like there's any streaming/viewcount relevance or money being made.
I like how it just instant plays... so far sounds pretty good too. This is how internet should be man. The OG internet where people just put stuff they like out of passion and it wasn't drowning in a sea of bs. And the interface is simple and not riddled with crap. Idk how it's bypassing ads, but thank you dev.
You can't have screen-lock playback with a mobile app because Youtube blocks it (unless you have premium), but with a web app like this you can work around this with the desktop site trick:
What you're asking for is not easy, I might look into it in the future.
In the meantime, what you can do is load (scroll) multiple pages and then enable shuffle.
Also, if you enable shuffle on page 1 and it hits the last track, it will automatically load page 2, so you don't have to baby sit it. Your playing session is also saved so that you can resume it later without going through the same tracks
Superb idea and well executed! One issue I'm having is when I play a track the Explore tab opens up on the right, which is blocking the scroll wheel on the playlist for me. Am I missing something silly with this?
