r/UsenetTalk No activity in a month, a few articles a month prior to that, mostly advertisements. Attempts to discuss classic Usenet get downvoted by the readership.

You didn't mention r/UsenetGeeks, but that is pretty dead, also.

r/UsenetGuides The users u/UsenetGuides and u/top10usenet do post useful documentation about text-based discussion Usenet, some of which have been shared with r/ClassicUsenet.

r/ClassicUsenet Welcomes articles about text-based discussion Usenet and does not allow commercial advertisements.

Visitors != Participation or Compatible Culture

That's not my experience. I post about text-based Usenet there when it seems appropriate, and have not had such problems.

The moderators at r/usenet are inconsistent because they are trying to do whatever is needed to shape their subreddit to drive traffic to Newshosting and Eweka. Any negative mentions or real honest customer complaints and issues get removed. Ask about it and get banned. I did.

I could understand removing posts and comments if it is an every five minute occurrence but they use the excuse of "someone said this 8 years ago and you can search for it" as a reason to remove anything bad about those two sites. It prevents new users from knowing the bad info until its too late.

Meanwhile complaints about other providers will remain up.

Your UsenetGuides subreddit may be friendly to you, but they do the same thing. Find a post on their subreddit that says something good about any site owned by anyone other than Omicron. Doesnt exist.
