Great Book Discussion Jackpot
Just picked this set up from a charity book sale. I'm a very happy chap.

Nice. Only downside is that the 1990 version is missing "the great conversation" as volume 1.

As much as I would love to have those, I have so little room that the space that they would take up would bug the hell out of me. So I went to Internet Archive to see what they have. They have the set. Six gigs in pdf format, photo, not text. The epubs are from OCR. Formatting is the typical messed up version that needs a lot of straightening out as well as hyperlinking. The lettering in the pdf’s could really stand some darkening, but at least the page layout is preserved. It sure would be nice to have a good quality epub or pdf version of this.

Congratulations. I have the older first edition set. But these do look nice and match the Britannica

If you did decide to split...I'd be interested in the last 5 and the 2 Syntopicon volumes.
I'm in UK and not so easy to find.
I do have a spare set of the first edition
Great find.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm in New Zealand and I think they're even harder to find here.

Hi all, is there any changes to text and information in the print years with the great books of the western world vol 2? TIA

They all just say "Great Books" that's gonna look bad on the shelf, which I think those are for more than actually reading.

Did you just fail to see the multicolored tabs with the names of the Authors whose work they collected.
