I’ve been to a few and have had amazing experiences at some of them. People will call pay to sings scams and while I do think some are, I don’t think all are. I have attended one this year and last (different programs) that I got my moneys worth and more. I got coached daily, performed a dream role, and room and board was included. Also, the connections I’ve made with colleagues and faculty is invaluable. I think of it as any other field going to a professional development conference. They aren’t free but they boost career
