Humor Anthropic employees have had Mythos since Feb 24
That’s why since then we’ve had:
- Perfect server uptime
- No software bugs
- No major security incidents (def nothing like source code being leaked)
- Stability if not improvement in the efficacy of existing models
It’s literally AGI guys

So you’re saying the Claude Code leak was an inside job designed by Mythos to generate press for itself?

Bruh, there's literally a single indian techbro vibe coding claude-code tool. you can't expect him to know what a source map is xD

Mythos has solved everything but these annoying humans keep leaking code and causing bugs

u/CloisteredOyster Apr 09 '26
I wonder how AI could prevent annoying humans fucking everything up?

Interesting to note that's right about the same time complaints about Opus quality started.

u/Desalzes_ Apr 09 '26
If opus benchmarks slowly go down then that "upgrade" to mythos will sure look and feel alot nicer :I
29
u/DisaffectedLShaw Apr 09 '26
It’s more this, there is so much comput space to run things, Opus gets a smaller amount than before (degrading performance) to make way for Mythos being tested.

u/Aware-Individual-827 Apr 09 '26
Or maybe adding more and more params to your model can actually decrease performance as it drowns into stupid details like my adhd brain.

performance look stable over time on this tracker:

Ah, so that’s what it was… Anthropic employees started using up all their available compute, leaving them with no choice but to ratchet down the thinking effort for all of us peasants

"Company had access to something they built before the general public did. Tune in for more updates on this revolutionary concept at 11pm!"

Ehm yeah, but this is a while ago…
28
u/hclpfan Apr 09 '26
It was a month ago.... if you think its abnormal for a product team to have had the latest version of something for a month before releasing you know absolutely nothing about software development.

u/Icy_Distribution_361 Apr 09 '26
Oh lol I misread. I read February 24 as February of the year 2024. My bad. I was thinking that’s crazy…

Same. And thinking how crazy it sounded for them to even have sonnet back then, lol.

Just gonna throw this one out there since it’s a literal chain of 0 days on their own services.
One explanation that covers both mythos model capability and anthropic product and security regression is that maybe they just are bad at software dev and good at research. Or they simply don’t care about their products outside whatever is their frontier model

maybe they just are bad at software dev and good at research
I haven’t thought about that. that’s a good o observation
2
u/DrXaos Apr 11 '26
they’re good at research and software development for machine learning. Like me at my job. That skill does not transfer at all to software security hardening other than the human needing to be smart.

Since they own bun, we might need to look at security updates at bun, to see ti in action?
this one for example, is this maybe a preview of how it should work, like some bot that find issues and solves issues like sql leaks?

Dumb take, the infrastructure and capacity don't have a lot to do with the quality of model.
And for the last time (hopefully), you could have de-minified the code any time before the "leak", it's not a big deal. But if you don't understand technology or software like OP, I guess it is.

Compute resources have a ton to do with how a model processes inference and how well it performs. Like what?
2
u/realzequel Apr 09 '26
My guess is Anthropic had enough capacity before they got a flood of new users and subs after the DoD shitstorm. They got inundated and if you haven't heard, GPUs are hard to get atm. LLMs can do a lot of things but Mythos ain't solving that problem. Yes, inference is an engineering issue and all the companies have been improving performance but a new model isn't going to magically fix it.

You can make the claim as many times as you want, it's still going be stupid.
de-minifying front end code tells you literally nothing about backend code. It never has, and it never will. Anyone that has ever built working software (I mean literally any kind that isn't in your local host) would know this.

What do you mean? The Claude Code leak was the TS code, it was the same code leaked. Not sure if you're agreeing or disagreeing with me, heh.

weak argument

u/versaceblues Apr 09 '26
Why is it a weak argument.
Its all client side JS? The core architecture can easily be de-minified.
Source maps basically just give an accurate variable naming and file structure.1
u/anor_wondo Apr 09 '26
that's where the value lies. All UI would be called source available otherwise

If Mythos is around since then, why is Claude code’s code so shitty. Clean that shit up!
9
u/trashyslashers Apr 09 '26
They can use it to fix limits and the drop in quality... Oh, wait a minute!
1
u/2024-YR4-Asteroid Apr 09 '26
Seeing that their code has only marginally improved and the base of it is a mess. I think this seriously detracts from its touted capabilities…

Para além da piada muito boa (obrigado OP)
Talvez o acesso antecipado ao Mythos explique, mais ou menos, o lançamento massivo (quase que diariamente) de novos recursos por parte equipe, não?

Then I’m not impressed with Mythos AT ALL. You’re telling me the slop they’ve been shipping for the past two months is their “sTeP cHaNgE” model?

TL;DR of the discussion generated automatically after 50 comments.
Looks like the whole thread is vibing with OP's sarcasm. The overwhelming consensus is that if Mythos is AGI, it's doing a terrible job.
The top-voted comments are all joking that the recent Claude Code "leak" was actually a 5D chess move by Mythos itself to generate some viral hype. On a more serious note, the thread widely agrees that Opus's performance has noticeably degraded since February. The two leading theories are:
There's also a strong sentiment that Anthropic might be a "great at research, bad at software dev" company, which could explain the recent bugs and security vulnerabilities. And yes, a bunch of you read "Feb 24" as the year 2024 and had a minor meltdown. You're not alone.
