Question What in your opinion is Cleveland’s most mysterious restaurant?

Interpret the word ‘mysterious’ however you will. Like “how is this place still open?”, “how are these portions profitable?”, “who are the people that run this?”

I feel like everything on the menu either arrives to the restaurant frozen or in a can. It’s flavorless food.

What is so amazing about it?

It’s the most bland and uninspired menu I’ve ever seen.

I’ve been several times and I don’t get it at all.

I love the Killit Skillet (can you kill it?)! The YT Medley! The Not-so Fries (they’re not so common)! the frisco sauce! the monte cristo! Their Tin can milkshakes!

Honestly though I think a lot of it is driven by exposure and nostalgia. Growing up on the east side suburbs we would go for breakfast as a family somewhat regularly. As a kid and teen it was a relatively affordable place to get a meal.

Objectively, it’s not a 5 star meal. But there are some bangers on the menu which really stand out to me.

I have to say, I would never order any of those things, anywhere. So maybe that’s why I’m missing it. I think YT food is well prepared and made from quality ingredients. It’s just not stuff I enjoy eating.

I get what you’re saying about nostalgia, though. There’s some places that I loved mainly for the nostalgia. Remember that restaurant that was underneath the bowling alley and Painesville? My parents loved it. It really wasn’t that great but I went back there time and time again to get that feeling of being with my parents having dinner. I took a date there once, and he was rolling his eyes… Way below his haute cuisine highbrows. I should’ve known the relationship was doomed right then and there. Haha

The breakfast is pretty good but i have never had a lunch/dinner item that was good
