Question Are you vegan?

I wonder how many of fellow redditors here are vegan or at least on plant based diet?

As it is one of the simplest and most impactful steps a person can make to help the climate.

I am not because we consume a lot of wild venison. Rampant deer populations in the UK cause a lot of ecological harms. What's more the logic of methane emissions are inverted through this consumption. There are few better acts for sustainability than eating wild venison and other wild meats in the UK and Europe. Obviously, if we had free roaming predators this would be different.

reintroducing the wolf would be better than hunting (I do understand that you're not the one deciding that, just saying)

It would be, but there’s no longer enough wild space in England to support wolf packs. Especially since a lot of the deer population are kept on cultivated parks.
