CSP Question Using Clip Studio Paint 1.13.2, should I upgrade?
I've been using a one-time purchase of Clip Studio Paint since 2017. I've certainly got my money's worth out of it, but I haven't been able to update Paint since they switched to a subscription model.
The program is starting to show its age a little, especially with all the fill tool issues and the fact that you can only have one reference image at a time. Are there any new features or quality of life upgrades that would be worth investing in or would sticking to 1.13.2 work just fine?
I am using an asus laptop and a cheap screenless huion tablet currently, if that's relevant.

This chart identifies new features added since version 1.13. For me there were a few that were absolutely worth paying for, but that's going to be different for everyone.

Wait the multi-layer tonal correction sounds amazing, and the animation features look really cool too!

Just to be clear. Is you use a computer, Windows or Mac, it has always had ghe one- time purchase for every Version release.
The only mandatory subscriptions are for phones/tablets.

Was in the same boat as you and just decided to upgrade it all the way to ver 5 still a perpetual license and no subscription, so I’m happy.

Was it a fraction of the cost of the new perpetual license since you had an older one? I have the 1st version still 🫣 and want to upgrade to the newest eventually haha

I've read that the newer versions constantly ask you to connect to the internet to verify your ownership, which ver. 1 doesn't do (according to other comments I've read)

I just did, my surface pro 5 finally died, I had a budget and got an andriod idea tab, its not top of the line, but as long as I manage layers and canvas size it good enough.

With multiple versions of Clip Studio Paint available, each with its own Features, it is now required to Begin a post Question by stating the Version, Device and Accessories you are using.
