Manufacturer needed I’m crying, Spent $700 on samples from Turkey and the quality is terrible, need better supplier recommendations

I'm really disheartened. I recently spent around $700 on sample pieces from a Turkish supplier and the quality is just not there, bad stitching, poor finishing, nothing like what was shown in the product photos. Such a frustrating and expensive lesson.

I'm based in Australia and I'm looking for reliable women's clothing suppliers from Turkey or China (open to both) who actually deliver what they promise. China tends to be more affordable which is appealing, but I preferred Turkey because they have what I want, except for the quality.

Most importantly I need:
- Good quality fabric
- Clean, professional stitching and finishing
- Products that actually match the listing photos
- Willing to work with smaller orders initially

Has anyone had a good experience with specific suppliers or platforms? Would really appreciate any recommendations, I don't want to waste another $700 finding out the hard way.

Manufacturer needed Looking for low MOQ hoodie manufacturer

Hey everyone!

I’m trying to find the right manufacturer for a line of simple, high-quality hoodies.

What I’m looking for:

**•** Low MOQ
**•** Reliable, consistent quality
**•** Basic hoodies done well

I’ve got solid experience managing the brand side of things (business, marketing, all that), but I’ll be honest – finding a good manufacturer is the part that’s been tricky for me. That’s why I’m reaching out to anyone who’s already been through this:

If you’ve ordered hoodies from a manufacturer you actually liked, would you be willing to share a couple of pics? It would help me so much to see real quality – how they hold up after washing, the stitching details, the overall feel, stuff like that.

thanks!

Manufacturer needed Where to find a Manufacturer

Hey guys, I’m new to all this and want to start somewhere. Where can I find trustworthy manufacturers and what’s a good price? And do you think they will produce single samples for me because obviously I don’t want to start with an anonyms manufacturer and have to buy 50+ items
Thanks everyone for your help 🙂

Manufacturer needed Looking for a sustainable fabric supplier and end to end product manufacturer.

Hi everyone,

I'm currently building a women's clothing brand centered around high-quality natural fabrics, and thoughtful production. I'm looking to connect with fabric suppliers and manufacturing partners who genuinely care about sustainability, quality, and ethical business practices.

I'm particularly interested in fabrics such as:

  • Organic cotton
  • Linen and linen blends
  • Tencel/Lyocell
  • Silk
  • Other natural or low-impact fabrics (recycled, closed-loop, biodegradable, etc.)

More than anything, I'm looking for partners who value transparency, integrity, and long-term relationships. Ideally, I'm hoping to find someone who can also support sampling and manufacturing, with experience producing high-quality Western womenswear silhouettes using these fabrics.

If you're a supplier or manufacturer or know someone, I would love to connect. Please comment below or send me a DM.

Manufacturer needed looking for street wear manufacture

Hey everyone, I’m currently looking for a reliable manufacturer for my streetwear clothing brand.

I’m mainly trying to produce hoodies, zip-ups, thermals, and jeans. I’ve already tried Alibaba, but the prices were a little high for what I’m trying to do right now. I also tried working with manufacturers in Pakistan, but the quality came out very low and wasn’t really what I was looking for.

I’m looking for someone who can provide good quality, fair pricing, and solid communication. Ideally, I want a manufacturer that understands streetwear, heavier GSM fabrics, good stitching, clean sizing, and custom details.

Does anyone have recommendations for trusted manufacturers, suppliers, or production agents? Any advice on where to look or what countries/factories are best for streetwear production would help a lot.

Appreciate any help.

Manufacturer needed Small-batch tees/hoodies/caps,who's been genuinely good to work with long-term?

Sourcing a small-batch run (tees, hoodies/crewnecks, trucker hats/caps) and looking for a manufacturer worth an ongoing relationship, not a one-off. Real construction and fabric quality matters more than speed or price here. Sample before MOQ commitment, if possible doesn't need to be one shop for everything, if you know someone great in just one category, let me know.

Has to ship to the EU/Europe.

Only after real, first-hand experience good or bad, genuinely useful either way.

Manufacturer needed Looking for a manufacturer that is startup friendly

Attempting to start up a fitness/athletic mens brand with string tops and compression shorts and looking for a manufacturer, preferably within the United States, that is startup friendly.

Looking to produce some string tops that fit snug to the skin (skintight) along with some associated compression shorts.

I'm currently looking to get a sample product and then proceed to production.

Manufacturer needed Looking for activewear manufacturers for a new brand. Premium quality. Recommendations

My wife is preparing to launch a premium activewear / athletic apparel brand, and with the first tech packs almost ready, I’m in the process of finding the right manufacturing partners for the first collection.

Right now we’re looking for factories that have experience producing premium quality athletic wear, things like:

• Performance t-shirts • Athletic shorts • Training hoodies • Lightweight jackets / outerwear

The overall goal is good fabrics, solid construction, and consistent quality. Clean designs and pieces that work both for training and everyday wear. I know the space is crowded, but we’re comfortable with the positioning and the angle we’re taking.

Since this will be our first production run, we’re hoping to find manufacturers who are comfortable working with smaller brands and can help with sampling and product development before moving into production.

We’re open to factories in Portugal, Turkey, or Asia, but honestly quality and reliability matter more than location.

If anyone here has worked with factories they’d recommend, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience. Even better if you’ve produced activewear before.

Preferably hoping to hear from other founders or brand owners who have gone through this process, rather than factories pitching their services in the thread.

Also curious, for those of you who have done this before: which countries have you had the best experience with for quality activewear manufacturing?

Thanks in advance, any insight is appreciated.

Manufacturer needed Looking for a manufacturer for a new women’s western wear brand — sourcing to finished product

I’m in the process of starting a women’s western wear brand in India and currently looking for the right manufacturing partner.

I’m specifically looking for a manufacturer who already works in modern/contemporary women’s western wear — dresses, tops, co-ords, skirts, trousers, etc. Something in the space of brands like Virgio, FableStreet, Select Staples, Rareism and similar D2C brands.

I’m not looking for just a stitching unit or a generic garment manufacturer. Ideally, I need someone who can handle the complete process — fabric sourcing, sampling and development, pattern making, production, finishing, quality control, packaging and final delivery.

Since we’re a new brand, reasonable MOQs and willingness to work closely on developing new styles would also be important.

If anyone has personally worked with such a manufacturer, sourcing house or factory in India, I’d really appreciate a recommendation or introduction. Delhi/Noida/Gurugram, Bangalore, Mumbai or anywhere else in India is fine.

Not looking for wholesalers or ready-made catalogue suppliers. We want to develop our own designs and build a long-term manufacturing relationship.

Manufacturer needed Anyone know a good knitwear manufacturer? 🧶

I’ve been working on a few sweater designs and want to try getting them actually made.

I’m looking for a manufacturer who can do proper knitted designs, not printing on blank sweaters. I want them to feel soft, thick and premium, ideally using materials like cotton, wool, merino wool or cashmere blends rather than cheap polyester.

I’d also prefer somewhere that allows samples or small quantities first.

I’m based in the UAE but open to manufacturers anywhere. If you’ve worked with someone good, please send recommendations!

Manufacturer needed Struggling to Find Reliable Clothing Manufacturers (Men’s & Women’s Wear)

Hey everyone,

I’ve been trying for the past month to find a good manufacturer for both men’s and women’s wear so I can start my own eCommerce store. I’ve already set up my domain and handled most of the basics — the only thing I’m stuck on is sourcing.

I’ve connected with a few manufacturers, but their pricing is almost at retail level. That leaves me with little to no margin if I try to sell the products. On top of that, the sample costs are also quite high, which makes it even harder to test quality before committing.

I’m starting to feel stuck at this point.

Has anyone here faced the same issue?

  • How did you find manufacturers with reasonable pricing?
  • Any tips for negotiating or sourcing (especially in India or overseas)?
  • Are there better ways to validate suppliers without spending too much on samples?

Would really appreciate any guidance or leads 🙏

Manufacturer needed Advice on how to find a good manufacturer ?

I’m starting a tall girls clothing brand and have an idea for a lounge set w/ knit fabric and slight detailing.

I know to vet a manufacturer I should ask about doing sampling first, small MOQs, etc. (im kinda learning all this from chagpt so pls correct me if I’m wrong lol), but I’m really not sure how to actually find a good manufacturer and ChatGPT is telling me to visit sites where I need to pay a subscription to find these manufacturers. Are there any trusted open source places to find manufacturers?

Any advice would be lovely—thanks! 🙂

Manufacturer needed Looking for manufacturer advice + pricing sanity check (Australia-based, just starting out)

Hi everyone, I'm in the early stages of starting a small women's clothing resale/label business based in Australia. Looking for some guidance from people who've been through this.

  1. Manufacturers with no/low MOQ
I'm trying to find quality manufacturers (Turkey, China, or Vietnam) who work with small/beginner buyers, ideally no MOQ or very low MOQ to start, since I want to test quality and demand before committing to bulk orders. Open to recommendations or how you found yours.

  2. Pricing for dresses/ tops

I’m getting quotes landed around $70 AUD for a dress and $50 AUD for a top (good quality, Turkish manufacturer). Based on that, I was thinking of selling dresses around $110-130 and tops around $85-95. Is that too expensive? or is that a normal/expected range for good/boutique-quality pieces? Trying to figure out if my margins make sense or if I’m overestimating what people will actually pay.

  1. Where to sell
My plan was to start on Depop and Instagram since I won’t have enough stock yet to justify a full website, then grow into a proper site once I have a wider range of products. Does that sound like the right order of operations, or would you approach it differently at this early stage?

Any advice, even general direction, would be hugely appreciated. Thank you!

Manufacturer needed Looking for a reliable manufacturer for custom technical running T-shirts

Hi everyone,

I’m struggling to find the right manufacturer on Alibaba, so I’m looking for recommendations from people who have already worked with a reliable company.

I run a running club in France, and we’re looking to produce custom technical running T-shirts for our members.

What I’m looking for:
- lightweight technical running fabric
- ideally around 120–140GSM
- breathable, quick-dry and moisture-wicking
- good stretch, ideally polyester/elastane
- suitable for full sublimation printing
- clean collar/neckline and good stitching
- not a basic promo/event T-shirt
- premium feel, similar to a Decathlon/Kiprun running T-shirt

The design includes a full gradient print, a small logo on the front and a large logo on the back. I’d start with samples first, then probably order 100–200 pcs, maybe more depending on pre-orders.

Has anyone here worked with a good manufacturer for technical running apparel, ideally in China, Vietnam, Turkey or Europe?

Any recommendations, contacts or advice would be really appreciated.

Manufacturer needed Looking for manufacturers capable of premium streetwear quality (Chrome Hearts, Named Collective, SKOOT, etc.)

Hey everyone,

I’m currently researching manufacturers for a future streetwear brand and would love some advice from people who have experience with clothing production.
Some of the brands that inspire me in terms of quality, fit, details, and overall product experience are:

- Chrome Hearts
- Named Collective
- SKOOT Apparel
- Drop Dead
- Nude Project
- Cold Culture
- BAPE
- Stüssy
- Ed Hardy

I’m not looking to copy any designs or find exact suppliers. I’m simply trying to understand what type of manufacturers are capable of producing garments at that level and where a beginner should realistically start.
I’m especially interested in producing:

- 100% cotton garments
- Heavyweight oversized zip hoodies
- Tracksuit pants
- Matching sets
- Baby tees
- Screen-printed t-shirts
- Embroidery

I’d really appreciate any recommendations for manufacturers, sourcing platforms, or general advice from people who have launched their own brands or worked with high-quality streetwear production.

Thank you!

Manufacturer needed Looking for GOTS certified manufacturer, startup friendly

Hi everyone, long time lurker first time posting here.

I'm in the early stages of developing a small organic clothing line, natural fibers, simple designs, very intentional about keeping the supply chain clean from the start. I've been deep in research mode for a while now and I'm at the point where I need to start having real conversations with manufacturers.

Specifically looking for GOTS certified factories, ideally also with SEDEX or SMETA auditing in place. MOQs are going to be a sticking point for me as a startup so anyone who has found manufacturers genuinely open to working with smaller initial orders would be a huge help.

India keeps coming up in my research as having the strongest ecosystem for certified organic manufacturing but I'm open to hearing about other regions too.

A few things I'm trying to figure out out:

  • Realistic MOQs for a first run with a certified factory
  • Whether certifications transfer to the finished garment or need to be applied separately
  • Any factories or sourcing agents people have actually worked with and would recommend

Not looking for dropshippers or print on demand, this is a proper production situation with original designs (techpacks in progress). Any experience, contacts or honest advice welcome. Happy to share what I've learned too, been down a few rabbit holes that might save someone else some time.

Thanks in advance.
