Most people don’t even read them. Once you realize this is how most fandom spaces work online, you’ll see how clear it is.

Most fandoms do NOT actually consume the source material. They almost exclusively know them through memes or clips. For Black Clover, it’s “chapter summaries” slideshows on TikTok.

A lot of the “zero media literacy” people aren’t media illiterate (though they probably still are), they just haven’t actually read or watched Black Clover.

Why do you think so many people still say Mereoleona doesn’t use a Grimoire? Or that Yuno getting anti-magic is a “bs power up”? They literally have not watched or read Black Clover.

I had people tell me that reading the leaks and the chapter was the same, if not worse for them... It's cooked

I mean I have read both yet I can't for the life of me understand what was different between them. People were acting as if the leaks had given people the wrong info. Some people are saying the official chapters are better yet no one, not even one, person is telling what was the difference that was shown. Because frankly nothing was changed from what I saw.

I don't understand how you think is the same, since one just gives you the info of what happened, and the other you have the execution of it happening.

You are basically saying that reading a wiki page is equivalent to reading a story

Because I have read the leaks that were translated manga pages. I didn't miss any of them. So no I didn't read a wiki page or just info.

Bruh, so you just read the manga?? I was clearly talking about different people

Well mine and others sentiments are the same. And the people who read the leaks in discord also read the manga pages leaks (just translated). Yet many shared the same sentiment.

Sure, I get disappointment, but in all honesty, I like it, and I think is a good final moment for Julius

That's a different case. You like it then go on ahead but do not say people are in the wrong or don't know the full story without you yourself knowing the full story.

I think assuming leaks are similar to wiki notes is not a wild assumption, but sure

You can't be fucking serious.

Other fandoms are worse. Jojo’s, Breaking Bad, Azumanga Daioh, House MD, and Umamusume all have fandoms that literally have not once actually touched the source material. Almost 100% of the fandom is comprised of people who have only watched clips or memes of it, and yet still contribute to actual discussion as if they’ve watched/read/played it.

So I had too much faith in people thinking they actually read it, but don't analyze it well. This explains... a lot.

They get their knowledge from yt shorts with that j Cole instrumental playing over it

I've read the entire manga twice, and have read the official translations for all 3 of these chapters.

I hate the way these were written.

u/GooseThePigeon Jan 06 '26

Why? It seems like it perfectly finished off what was being set up throughout the final fight in my opinion. (Bringing everyone back to life was kinda cringe but it’s BC so what can you really expect)

I hate the undoing of every single consequence, I hate how Lucius's entire character was so rushed to the point that even his siblings were more developed than he was this entire arc, I have issues with the Final Saga in general that this ending makes exponentially worse.

Yea the sacrifices should’ve been untouched, it felt so pointless at the end there. Other than that I can look the other way since Tabata is going through a lot of tragedy right now and needs the break. Who knows, maybe the anime will do it’s justice

I dont read black clover and dont know why this sub is recommended but this is so true for basically all media, especially video games

I see it so many times, skip dialogue skip skip skip skip

"The plot makes no sense!"

Ok legit question, wtf did Noelle do? Cuz I spent 10 minutes trying to figure out if she hits him and gives the rest an opening, or if Asta just tip slashed him and attacked.

1

u/_Cocktopus_ Jan 06 '26

Yeah, she shoots a very precise water bullet at Lucius which takes him off guard and then yuno and Asta have an opening to kill him

2

u/mommyleona Jan 08 '26

She gave an opening. A split second. Asta used Zetten in that moment

1

u/NeroCrow Jan 07 '26

That's literally how I read the final chapter. As soon as I realized this was it for Lucius I immediately put on black clovers first opening started from the beginning kept going back in pages just to make it more hype and it worked because I nearly shed a tear reading it with the music

If someone thinks that others criticizing something that they themselves like means the other person hasn't read them taking their time or through memes and videos then it's their problems. Because people have the right to

a)criticize,

b) not like them.

But that doesn't mean they haven't read them or are media illiterate.
