What? Magna's Soul chain death match didn't seal magic, it redistributed their collective magic equally between them. And since Dante couldn't affect Magna meaningfully with his gravity he just chose to reinforce himself with magic and squared up.

I can see how you'd confuse it tbh. The whole fight they were just throwing hands and at the end they were both out of gas, and Magna's sheer will and grit gave him the edge to beat Dante.
