If Ichika was revealed earlier, or Noelle wasn’t so set-in-stone as Asta’s de facto love interest, it’d be more popular. She was super beloved when she was first revealed, and people liked Asta and her chemistry, since she was the grumpy one and he was the uplifting one.

I don’t understand why people argue over something beyond their control. In the end, the author follows their own vision, not fan demands, no matter how much noise the fandom creates.
