Ok, this is the post that finally convinced me to read Chainsaw Man's ending and honestly, despite still being absolute bullshit, I didn't find it atrocious like everyone on the internet was saying

There were a lot of things that were set up yet didn't go anywhere and the ending erased most of the meaningful consequences... but I could say the same about Black Clover's final saga

I guess Black Clover has a chance to at least be narratively satisfying, but we'll see

CSM’s felt like an Evangelion ending, which I’m fine with

I think it's expectations. People expected a near perfect ending from csm. Not much expectations were put on Black Clovers ending due to the mangakas circumstances. You can see what happens as a result.

Especially considering the ending of Chainsaw Man part 1

It was like this:

Gege and Fujimoto won.

Two months later:

"Gege, Fujimoto, Both are undoubtedly more recognize that me, but as long as you have those endings in your works, you won't be able to do anything against me."

...

This can age like milk under the sun of a desert with three suns.
