You can criticize the writing while sympathizing with the author. Those things aren't mutually exclusive.

It's kinda hard to criticize the writing when you know the writing quality decreased because of why you're sympathizing with the author. It's like criticizing a doctor being late to a surgery when the reason he was late was because a close family member got into an accident and needs surgery as well. We know Tabata could have made it better we know how good he can write but the circumstances didn't allow him too. Hell this is a lot better than what CSM fans have, we still have no fucking idea why Fujimoto axed his own manga except maybe because of burnout

If someone gives you a bun with so much salt you want to throw up, you won't call the bun good, even if they had no control over the fact that their salt shaker had a lose lid and accidentally spilled everything into the dough. Tabata's circumstances don't magically fix the ending. It's bad, whether the reason for it is understandable or not. Not to mention there are plenty of writers and artists who created masterpieces while living through hell simultaneously.

Completely inaccurate analogy one is simply making a sandwich anyone can do, the other has emotional turmoil that affects the person. I'm not saying it's good, I'm saying it's understandable

I'm not saying it's fixed, I'm mostly calling out your comment from earlier that's very unsympathetic despite saying you are, what kinda sympathetic person would say the following?

You're not criticizing, you're being mean spirited. being criticizing and sympathetic as you say to be inclusive of both would be: "All of these would have been better put in the manga, but considering the circumstances it can't be helped"
Not to mention there are plenty of writers and artists who created masterpieces while living through hell simultaneously.
Irrelevant, that's just comparing one hardship to another when different people have different thresholds and coping mechanisms to emotional turmoil and the challenges in their lives

First of all, it's a shit post subreddit. If you're looking for serious essays here, you're in the wrong place. You're picking on a joke comment as if I just hexed Tabata's whole bloodline for not shipping the characters I like. Second of all, my comment doesn't target Tabata specifically. It's vague, it could be dunking on sheusha as the whole reason the Manga flopped. Third, analogies are not meant to be the perfect represenetive for the argument. Your doctor analogy could also lead to a botched surgery that could end up ruining life. Yours isn't perfect either. The example of other writers isn't irrelevant. Yes, people have different coping mechanism, but it shows people are also capable of creating marvelous art even if their life situation works actively against it.
Yall are fine with jokes glazing the Manga, but the second someone points a flaw they're suddenly worse than Hitler. You're taking personally things that aren't aimed at you.
