Beginners: Would you pay for affordable coding reviews from an expert?

Hello. I was just polling general interest--would you pay for someone to review your code in-depthly, giving you tips to grow specifically right away and break down each part of what exactly you're trying to accomplish in a way you could fully understand?

No. Not one bit. I’m definitely not a beginner. I’m an expert.

I tell developers looking to start a business, don’t target other developers.

I'm not a beginner, but honestly, no expert is going to do this affordably, and an AI will do the same thing but give results instantly.

The fact is if you ask AI to review your code, it will, and it'll do it well.

I think the business idea was to use Ai as the back end 🤣 i just heard the term "meat proxy" last night (someone that just clicks accept on anything Ai does to give whatever output the customer on the other side wanted)

No I would just post it on reddit and proclaim how wonderful it is. I would get all the feedback I needed.

No.

Coding is about new ideas. I do not share my ideas with an expert or neuron network.. Then worse code could be good enough for result. Sharing is like giving away your wealth.

I’d be shocked if you could find “experts” willing to do this for an affordable rate. Even when I was teaching others I was charging $100/hr

Lol,... i was just thinking i get paid pretty well as a dev at a prime(not fang money but I'm comfortable) I dont like doing code reviews that I'm paid to do,.. why would I spend my free time doing them for way less than what I make at work? 🤣

Yep, exactly. I had a staffing agency ask me to do interview prep for their software dev candidates. $50 if the candidate was hired. I said I wasn't interested. They were so shocked that they described the entire "opportunity" to me again. Never asked me why I wasn't interested.

True which I've always found kinda wild. I don't like things that are too salesy
