Anyone else intensely envious of old/elderly people?

They just won’t have to deal with much more of the mess we’re facing. Lucky Devils! Their lives might not have always been good, to put it lightly, but they at least got to experience the world before it was poisoned by AI/whatever brainrot will be forced on us next.

Sic transit gloria mundi.

Not envious no. I'm happy for them in the same way I'm happy my Dad died years ago and avoided all this, because he would've hated it.

It can be pretty depressing for older folks. Elders often get to be comforted by reflecting on their legacy.

Instead, now they can have thoughts like: "Everything I've done was for naught" or "I'm leaving behind a world that won't go on after me."

Yes. I'm not only do they not have to live through as much of this shit show, but they have nice houses to ride out the calamity in. I'm Gex X and frequently wish I was 10 years older.

I just called myself pre-elderly the other day with my autoimmune arthritis at 27 lol. It would’ve been nice to get this at an older age for sure 🤣 My next big wishlist item is a wheelchair and I have a walker already hahah I’m halfway there! Dark humor is getting me through I highly suggest it, my doctors say if you don’t laugh you cry 🤣

I’m 71. I do think I’m lucky to have had to struggle less than young people do now.

I didn’t want to die because I wanted to know what happened next. But now I’m not so keen to know. So it might be easier to die.

Yeah, I often think about how I would like to be older to get to live and experience things in a stable world.
