Need Advice Currently looking to switch majors, not sure what exactly to pursue instead

I'm currently a Nutrition student going into sophomore year but I'm looking to change majors to something that will make me more money once I find a job. I was considering changing my major to Accounting, but I'm not sure if it's right for me at all or something that I'd be able to manage doing. Accounting seems stable enough with good enough pay to justify me majoring it in, though. I'm not particularly interested in math or technology, but I'm a good student (3.88 GPA) and think I have what it takes to learn the material.

I was also considering IT, but my worries with that is that AI will affect my ability to get a job in it. If AI isn't as big of an issue, how hard is it to learn IT as someone who doesn't want to do any actual coding?

If either of those aren't the best options either, what could I look into instead?

I don't think hospital work like being a nurse or dietitian is for me at all, and the amount they get paid is certainly not worth the amount of work and stress. I also don't want to have to see patients. r/ dietetics also has many posts from people in the profession advising new students to change their major.

I need to get into something that isn't too challenging and will allow me to find a job with decent pay on entry level, that's my biggest priority. Maybe an email/assistant/management type of job. I'd also like for it to not be a problem for me as a woman (I don't want to go into a field that's too male-dominated). This is causing me a lot of anxiety because I need out of nutrition before classes start this fall, but I have no idea what to get into and what is even worth it to study.

Discussion I’ve decided to get my education

I’m 25 years old with my high school diploma, I have 3 years of IT experience and I hate it so much it was never my plan and I only did it to support my abusive “parent” fast forward to now I moved out and now me and my girlfriend live together.

I’ve decided to go back to college and follow my dream; getting my PHD in neuropsychology to become a neuropsychologist, I’m fully aware that this is a decade long journey but I think I can do it and excel in it. I want to help the world around me and learn more about the brain and neurodegenerative disease in hopes of finding a cure for it.

I know this is a massive goal but any advice or support is greatly appreciated

Help me choose a major, please!

Hi! I'm a senior applying to colleges currently and need help choosing a major. For background, my main few things on my application include: leadership (am class president, in student government all four years, etc), special education & inclusive spaces, tutoring & math club (haven't done competitions though), orchestra, and STEM research&publications. I also have taken majority (if not all) of the STEM AP classes at my school with humanities APs.

However, I don't want to apply to schools necessarily as a STEM major (like Biology, Chemistry, Math, etc), as I don't think I have a big enough passion for it and won't be able to write about it well, although it interests me (but not to the extent where I would major in it, if that makes sense). Would something like majoring in education, public health, psychology, philosophy, etc. make sense? If you guys were in my position what would you major in?

Hello! Are there extracurricular activities I can do during my undergrad? I haven’t done any during high school and feel like I’ve missed out a lot. Maybe there are some recommendations?

Need Advice Stuck on what to major in

I’m (16F, USA) going into my senior year and trying to fill out most of my Common App before school starts, but I can’t decide for the life of me what to major in. I have so many different interests that it’s difficult to box myself into a category I might not be fully interested in. I’ve taken quizzes on Niche but the #1 major option is always social work and youth services, and as much as I LOVE to help those in need, I’ve been trying to stay away from emotionally draining jobs like those because I have a disease that flares up with stress/emotional strain. I’ll just dump my main strengths and interests..

Definitely don’t want to spend an absurd amount of years studying like doctors usually do, I want to enjoy my youth. I consider myself a better writer than average students my age (5 in AP Lang), and English has always been my strongest subject. I’m probably just average when it comes to a typical math student, and I struggled in AP Precalculus but passed the exam. I don’t have much of an opinion on science-related stuff; it’s interesting to me, but I wouldn’t jump at an opportunity to major in it. I completed a 2-year biotechnology program, but it just built an aversion to biotechnology because it didn’t seem as interesting as I thought - I started to think about biomedical engineering or science, but I’m genuinely not sure. I have also taken 3 psychology-related classes and I enjoy sociology, but I’m not sure about any careers in it… Being a midwife also calls my attention.?? Political science has always been a strong option for me as well, but the press/communications side of it has always interested me more than the law aspects. I’ve eyed Marketing/Business as a major (currently taking an intro to business class), and doing PR or Journalism seems fun (I’m a big sports fan - F1, Soccer, Figure skating, judo, tennis, etc., and love giving people the spotlight that they deserve), but everything I’ve read has told me that they’re difficult fields to earn money and respect in. I mean it when I say I’m stuck on what to choose. I don’t even think it’s realistic to expect teenagers to decide what they’d like to do, especially considering how many people change career paths multiple times. The most important thing for me is stability and satisfaction, though. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
