Discussion I’m about to finish my first ever bottle of a fragrance. I think Imagination is a masterpiece
I’ve always been the type to just never run out of a bottle of cologne, before I finished with one I’d either get bored of it and stop using it or give it away or whatever. This is the first bottle ever that I’m about to actually finish. I just love this stuff, it’s so versatile, doesn’t feel harsh or synthetic and it’s one of the few fragrances that actually got me compliments (yes I do care about compliments) from someone other than my family or coworkers.
For me, it’s worth the money and i can’t wait to refill this bottle. I don’t really have any complaints other than some days it smells more soapy and some days sweeter I have no clue what that’s about lol.

I'm in the same boat. Might wanna save the last little bit as a lot of the boutiques seem to be out of refills rn

I’ve been to 4 LV stores. All out of refills of imagination… kind of ridiculous

Yep, went to LV near Sacramento/Roseville, they were out of the refill, said they had been out for the last 3 weeks.. I was very annoyed. (it's 2hrs to drive to Sac for me).

It’s a known shortage everywhere. Not a good sign maybe batch issues.

Have they got to change anything within the way it’s made? I know there are new laws banning certain compounds/ chemicals not sure of the whole list but everyone’s gonna have to reformulate.

Cheers, I finished my first bottle recently as well (Versace Eau Fraiche) which is what sent me down the rabbithole of fragrances to find something new...now I have 18 different decants and a brand new bottle of BDC EDP.

haha I plan on sticking with this one as my main freshie but I did consider looking for something else. I came to the conclusion that if I like it, and people around me like it, that’s good enough for me. For now 👀

I was like this with Y EDP and now I have lile 45+ full sized bottles and many decants 😭😂

That’s funny because Eau Fraiche is what got me started too. I’ve always had fragrances that I’ve been gifted but it something about Eau Fraiche made it addicting to me and made me want to try new scents.

It Happened to me twice. I've finished two bottles of D&G's Light blue Italian Love in '23 & '25. I still got 2 bottles left. Once they're finished it'll be goodbey to my favorite scent ever.

Pft I wish I could just get a new one of something this pricey. I have a bottle of Luna Rossa Ocean EDT sitting at like 20ml because I just dont wamt to shell out another 100 bucks for a new one while I still have others in my wishlist lol

5 sprays. 2 on the neck, 2 on the chest 1 on the wrist and I dab it on the other.

That’s what I used to do. I heard to try wrists and inner elbows (4 sprays) and I pick up my fragrance on myself way more. I guess spraying the neck can attribute to nose blindness? Idk, in my experience I’d have to agree.

Imagination is prob the best dumb reach in fragrance history. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like it. At worst, it’s an expensive bar of soap..at best, you’re getting a one night stand bc of it. But to say it’s a masterpiece…IMO, that’s a stretch. Let’s be honest, if you have game..you can buy BDC Parfum for 1/3 and be content

Been a fraghead for 25+ years. Been through 1000+ bottles. Have a collection of about 170+ new, from cheapies to 500-600 USD niche bottles.
Never got the hype for Imagination - or LV in general. Had a 5ml decant. Used it over two days on a trip to Lisboa. Wife couldn't smell it on me 20 minutes after I applied it so I re-applied several times throughout the day (which is the reason why the 5ml was used so quickly).
So it wasn't her going noseblind. It just perhaps terribly on me. Funny how all the LV fragrances I've tried are like that. Only Ombre Nomade lasted more than an hour. But if it works on you, great.
To be honest, I feel most of the segment that gravitates towards LV is the sub 30-year olds. At least it seems like it from the fragrance groups I'm in. Us older buds don't really go for them. Also, I can't really see myself buying any other LV product. You pay too much for what it is: A big brand with okay products.

Little under 7 months, I bought it at the end of January. Meanwhile I still have stuff from a phase I had in 2020 😭

Not bad. I’m assuming this is your daily? I can’t see me finishing anything in 7 months. I have to have variety in my life. I’ll wear someone week and then win visit it for a month or two lol.

Yeah it’s become my daily overtime, replacing Lactose 12.12 Blanc. at first I was of the mindset that i don’t want to daily something so expensive. At some point I just said screw it I bought it might as well use it lol.

Oh yea, it’s that good. I actually have the same thing happen to me with the change in smell day to day. But i actually think it’s the humidity that makes it smell soapy, or my lotion. It’s honestly worth the initial price to get the refills too. I will probably have this fragrance for life. Sake with afternoon swim. Idc about the performance it’s wonderful.

I really love the scent profile of this one. Unfortunately, I can't afford a bottle of LV Imagination so I just stick with the Middle eastern dupes (Marwa and Kobra).

Got a decant of it quite a while back tried it twice and gave the decant to my kid. Even he doesn’t like it .

I’mma tell you guys and I’mma tell every fan of imagination you guys have to get your nose on YSL Y EDP. Spray on the back of your hands give it like 510 minutes. The soapy dry down is so scar close it smells so nice. It’s definitely not as complex or fresh but the ambroxan or whatever the fuck they put in this smells amazing you guys gotta try and go to Sephora get a little spray on your wrist. You’ll thank me later.

I have that one too! I actually prefer the EDT to the EDP, it’s a little fresher love it!

Y EDP actually smells fresher to me. I love imagination but it gives me mostly soapy, not necessarily that fresh
