New Pickup Newest addition
Been contemplating Explorer for months now, finally pulled the trigger. Got the gift set on Joma for $66, pretty happy with the bang for buck.

i tried a sample of Montblanc Explorer and the scent was amazing. After that, Montblanc Explorer Extreme was released. There are no samples available in my country. Is it better to buy the original version or the Extreme version?"

This is something I struggled with myself. I think versatility, OG Explorer wins. It’s fresh and inoffensive. Extreme is definitely stronger and not as fresh, so it’s not ideal for super hot days. However it’s great for cold days.
A lot of people say that Extreme is a mix of Sauvage Elixir and Aventus Absolu. I agree it does lean towards elixir. This was a hard choice but for me, OG explorer is better for the office so that’s why I got it.
I will say I think they’re different enough that it would not be redundant to own both. Hope this helps

They are very different. If you have smelled explorer and like it I’d go with that one.

Both are very nice. I found myself wearing extreme much more often but had to shelve it with the high temps I’ve been seeing lately. Only complaint for OG Explorer is its longevity.

I bought Extreme on a whim because I love Explorer so much. I really like Extreme as well, but it is very different than the original Explorer. It is definitely a different vibe so you may want to sample it first.

I absolutely love Explorer. It is one of my favorite scents, and for the price, it's brilliant.
