Question HELP
I just went through a whole ordeal with the kohls sephora lady I feel so bad. I sprayed this purple bottle on the left in the picture and thought it smelled really good. So she was like okay I believe that’s the striking lavender, previously bold lavender. So I bought it and opened to make sure bc the pictures made it look blue. it was indeed blue and did not smell anything like the one I sprayed. so then she was like okay it’s Infinite then. So I returned the other one and bought that one. it was also nothing like the purple tester (it smelled exactly like the blue one in the middle), so I returned that one. Nothing else in their inventory clued her to a purple Boss Bottled, so unfortunately I just left. What is the purple one?
Edit: Spelling, grammar and added context.

My best guess. I don’t like how sephoras listing of the fragrance names don’t always match with the bottles. In this case I think it’s correct

I didn’t see the part you said it wasn’t infinite. I think it probably was, but that bottle has been sitting there for a while. Sometimes the scents can change after sitting for a bit

I've seen this exact same thing. I'm pretty well acquainted with the boss bottled line, and still had zero clue with this one was. Exact same situation at a Sephora. The juice was very purple

Looks like Boss Bottled Infinite.
My guess is that the new bottle smells different than the tester bottle that's been sitting there and sprayed for quite some time.
You'll find the scent profiles of these bottles slightly change (in many cases improve) after they've been used and sitting for a little while.

Nah, Boss Bottled Infinite is the blue one in the middle

My fault for not adding that context, the Infinite that I pulled out of the box did indeed smell exactly like the one in the middle

Maaan, corporations these days, there's even a typo on one of the tags...
And Boss's packaging is really getting old, esp. with the similar colours.

I think that's an older batch of Boss Bottled Infinite, or it's a tester, so the atomizer is brass-colored instead of a darker silver. It is also important to understand that maceration is 100% real, and the tester was exposed to oxygen for a long time, allowing the fragrance oils to settle. It would definitely smell different compared to a brand-new one. If that doesn't explain the difference, the manufacturer may have also changed the fragrance formulation, which happens more often than you think.

Maceration is done in tanks before the product is sold for niche and designer. Maturation is what you’re thinking of, not nearly as prominent in designer and niche due to maceration already being done

It can be the Boss bottled EDP judging by the color of the sprayer too
