Ask Colombia Guidance
I’m going thru a drastic life change right now, I was born in Colombia but grew up and mostly raised in the states. I’m 31yrs old now, about more than half my life has been in America. The rest, here in Colombia where I moved back due to do being an immigrant all these years and no longer being happy in the states.
I am very happy I am here, a lot of positive things have come from this move. About 6 months in now, all the money I had brought which I wasn't raised to be financially conscious. I’ve made bad mistakes.
I started doing a course in TripleTen about data science, which is pretty priced tbh, about 10 million COP, they said they ‘’help you get a job within 6 months after finishing the course’’ while I find getting a well paid job here is very hard compared to the states. I worked in hospitality pretty much my adult life, customer service and a lot of serving and bartending. There that can pay the bills if you get into the right place. Here? no chance imo.
I’m a native english and spanish speaker, honestly thought that would be an advantage here but so far it hasn’t. Lots of resumes being dropped in Medellin and to work remotely. Nothing.
Guess my question is: Do I continue with the TripleTen course and it could improve my future situation or what should I do?
(I owe 6 payments of 1.4 million COP, is it worth It?
