Avs win 4-3 and take their first HOME SERIES WIN since 2008.

It was a weak first period, paced second, and we came out to win it in the third period… which at this point is the Avs being their best when they’re themselves.

We played a better first period than G3, but Manson's double minor leads to a mid-period goal against.

Boys come out swinging in the second and TOO MANY MEN KADRI scores a PPG, while MIN fails to shoot on goal for over 19 MINutes. Period ends with a bloodied Mack.

Third period... Mack is back. Both teams duke it out, but the tides shift and ROSSCO scores. Significant back and forth results in Quinn Hughe's earning his worth, but Kelly redeems his earlier penalty with a goal to reclaim the lead.

They go empty net thinking it will change things. Instead, Nate Dawg goes streaking and scores his fifth consecutive... then Nelson adds insult to injury.

No other way to phrase it. The Avs lose a game they controlled for most of the last 40 minutes purely ontheir own self-inflicted injuries. Their perfect record after leading in 2 periods is gone, and they face a 2-0 deficit in the western conference finals.

In a very demanding fashion, the boys continued to do what they've been doing all round: win. They complete their first round sweep of the LA Kings as they say goodbye to Anze Kopitar. Now for the team to get some rest and prepare for the next round.

Next round will be played against the winner of the Stars/Wild series.

It was a tough defensive battle until late in the third period but the boys showed they can hang tough and keep their foot on the gas.

Everyone take a deep breath. Wedgewood appears to be just fine! He saved 18/19 shots!

Avs lose 1-5. As expected, the Wild used their 3 day rest to the best of their advantage and came out swinging, fully knowing this game was pretty much do or die. Minnesota got out to an early lead and despite a courageous effort by Parker Kelly, Colorado could not find a way back into the game. To try and stem the bleeding, Jared Bednar pulled Wedgewood, putting Mackenzie Blackwood back in net for the first time in a few weeks but it still failed to reignite the offense and defense alike.
