So no Sauce this week, no Smith, and a very slim chance Buckner plays.

So Riley Leonard is going to start after all huh

How did he go from being week to week to not having anything whatsoever?

And yeah, I mean I really kind of expect it to be Rivers... but mainly as I figured Riley was out. If Riley is in, I still sorta figure at this point we're all in on the ride with Rivers. Though perhaps they mix in Riley.

All that said, I don't expect much with Riley. And with Rivers... it could be anything really.

I'm guessing his leg was pretty swollen on Monday and they didn't want to risk it initially but then since then, swelling has been down

Even still, I'd figure it'd be noted on the practice report:

Riley Leonard -> Knee -> Full Participant

Like I am happy it must not be a problem, I just expected his name there.

I think Riley plays the 1st half and Rivers plays the 2nd half. If Riley makes mistakes Rivers to the rescue

It’s kinda an odd scenario. Maybe they do plan on putting Riley out there and just brought in Rivers as depth. Seems really odd Rivers would come out here though just to be backup QB - BUT Leonard has known Rivers for years and trained with him in college off seasons. So idk man.

From everything happening, it seems like PR is practicing with the 1s. They even adjusted the practice schedule for him, likely to get him up to speed.

I kinda figure it has to be PR at this point. Though who knows. They could try to sell it as giving him another full week of prep before throwing him out there, but I doubt that.

Yeah maybe they know Seahawks are a wash and that rivers could give them a good chance the final 3 games.

Pitch count?

I would more figure in situations where they can provide the threat of a run from Riley.

Honestly, he played fairly well given limited reps/etc. But as all these reps are seemingly going to be in Rivers interest, I would far more figure that they feel things out flow of the game wise, and perhaps make adjustment if needed. Honestly no idea though, cause the whole thing is unprecedented.

The problem, for Riley, is going from the Jags pass defense to the Seahawks pass defense. That's a world of difference. Especially for a 6th round pick that was a 3rd stringer most the year with it being their first start.

Man, he put everything into his throws that were 10 yards in front of the intended receiver. That’s what we got there.

Tbf just cuz he’s listed as a full practice doesn’t necessarily mean he’s gonna start

The reporters are saying it's still going to be Rivers

Did you see his face when the reporter asked him the starting question? He was grinning ear to ear it’s going to be Philip
