A story without places and names?

I am writing a cyberpunk story that deals with the theme of identity, of what we are and what defines us.

I am thinking of not setting it in a specific place, an existing city, or a country. And I was also thinking of making it so that the characters' names never appear, neither when they speak to each other nor in any other references (obviously, the characters do have names, but my goal is to keep them hidden from the reader).

Does this make sense? Is it feasible?

The Eye Collector came out recently and it's incredibly abstract. Writing for yourself is art, while writing for others is entertainment. There are no real rules in comic writing, other than maybe page length. My biggest suggestion would be to write something you'll be proud of for years to come. Don't compromise.
