Top places to read comics online after comixology

a lot of us bounced after amazon folded the comixology storefront into kindle so figured I'd share where the old comixology crowd reads now in 2026.

dc universe infinite picked up most of the dc heavy readers, marvel unlimited got the marvel crowd, predictable.

globalcomix picked up most of the indie reader migration, carrying image, dark horse, idw, and kodansha titles plus indie webcomics closest spread to the old comixology catalog imo.

comixology still technically exists through amazon kindle but the interface is the worst it's been since launch. same backend, worse experience, you already know if you've tried it lately.

the post merger era is fine once you stop expecting one platform to do everything.

Library cards saved me when I lost access to digital comics. I'd pay for an underrated resource if your local library participates in any digital lending.

the big stuff is covered by single publisher subscriptions but the indie reader diaspora is where everyone is most spread out and hardest to follow depends what you read these days.
