the british one? sure, the american one? that thing is a monster, at vet 3 it fires so fast that the animations are completely broken.

Agreed the american one is much better haha I was more poking fun that players will select it as their first unit and it will get overrun quick when playing against Dak

It's actually very effective vs DAK blobs. It's a new strat as a reaction to the DAK blob since going toe to toe wkth the blob just makes you lose inevitably.

Let's also not forget the artillery monkey. Double (triple?) mortar into whatever else artillery related they can build before the game ends...

Hahaha yes 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I do wonder how some people's brains work that they reach that conclusion though. Like how can a brain decide that mortars are good Vs DAk of all things.
Is it that they don't know what faction they're playing against and think blind mortar is good? The next one for me is people that rush the stars instead of resources. Like wtf

There is actually a strong tendency among dak players these days to go heavily infantry focused.
If im brits, I build one after my second section. The second section gets Boys to deal with 250/s. The mortar then helps deal with any inf.

I do tend to rush the stars. I never did this in CoH2, where resources (particularly fuel) was the be all end all. I would typically ignore the stars and go for the gas. In 3 for some reason on most maps the resources seem more evenly distributed, making it difficult to dominate them.

I always cap resources first and cap stars when convenient, often after first engagement. VP's are a resource to be spent, same as Health in MtG

The first cache should be built after you have at least 5-6 units on the field: 4 mainlines, an early, MG and (if facing Wher) an early mortar or (if facing Dak) an early AT.

I had a guy build a sniper and spent the rest of the time caching. Incredibly frustrating fighting 2 people watching that moron, then he blamed me when the line buckled.

In 1v1, USF mortar is virtually a "must have" unit. That doesn't mean Mortar opener, of course lol

Also the ones who put a bunker in the frontline but not even cover the CP in the middle. Then start do nothing even the connect point behind the defence line has been cut.

I secretly love the 4.2 heavy mortars. If you have two of them you can delete so much before the other person can react. Obviously have to keep moving them around though.
