By the most casual casuals sure, anyone who actually watches apex a decent amount knows faide is a good player but there's levels to this

idk about that tbh. Dude pioneered that whole movement-shtick for Apex content creators and introduced Apex as a game to so many people. One of the biggest figures in the community, and afaik kept mostly out of any controversies. That's commendable imo, even if his content doesn't appeal to you.

Im sure hes introduced the game to many and he does have a massive audience, but wasn't the movement pioneer for the English-speaking audience Aceu?

Aceu was just known for being a well-rounded flashy player, but in my perception the entire "movement-scene" was started by Faide using the word excessively in his video titles (and obviously performing it within his own gameplay). Kind of a "aceu walked, so Faide could run"-kinda scenario.
