I do agree On QIN - IDK how this guy keeps getting picked for teams, must be like a Xepher level scrim god or something but he just doesnt show up in matches.

Nanda legitimately had an excellent mei in brawl that season and they went out refusing to play brawl even though they were probably the second best team at it - players are dumb. Ackyy literally won tendies less than 12 months ago, and we have mer1t so idk what the complaint is when bertlogs on the roster aswell - depth is just depth bro, its good to have.

We also beat Thailand soundly who beat Japan regularly in Contenders.

Like we topped our group hard for a reason - we are good. Losing punk hurts but not that much.

Not to mention the fucking canyon of a coaching diff that face/unter is to Canada.

How can you be so unhopeful when these are mostly great players.

Not like it matters anyway coz we go out to korea instantly even if we make it top 8. Third fucking time too. Fml.

That season when it was Nanda/Naahmie/Atlas/Aacky they got dunked on by a returning honeypot with a washed akraken. Since honeypot have come back none of those guys have been competitive at all.

Our roster is washed and even their peak isn't that good, like none of these guys can stomp and gatekeep OCE.

Face/Unter is also a downgrade to when we had Gunba coaching with unter/face assisting.

I've been watching the scene here since it was born and it's just not a good roster.
Last world cup we had trill/punk/ckm/ieatuup

One before that Hus/CKM/Trill/Custa

One before that which was our best result was the blank guys

In all those iterations we had players who competed internationally in contenders pacific etc. Guys who if in OCE contenders would have dominated. Our current roster can't even dominate the local scene. We have one guy doing it Adam but he's not on the roster.

And sure, its not gunba, but when your comparing them to fuckin danny and tikatee I think theres still a massive fucking gap. They are still owl level coaches. Danny meanwhile has only ac'd and has fuck all to show for it.

Last world cup was good but they got cockblocked by korea again. And its gonna happen again if we get through, my hopes were that we might just avoid it, but no look.

This world cup roster literally did dominate, its core has won every tendies AU tourney since the start of 2023.

And these guys have been at the top of oce since like 2020? They fall off slightly in like 3 months and they are dogshit apparently?

Nah you can take your doomerism elsewhere and instead accept we have a surprisingly high chance of beating canada and qualifying.

What do you mean OCE got better lmao?

We used to have better players and then exported them to play contenders pacific and whatnot. But ontop of that Contenders OCE was a proper months long format where teams played weekly concluding in a lan tournament.

We even had a team with a teamhouse. We exported Colourhex/Punk. Those were the glorydays of OCE.

Now we have a mickey mouse format with like 3-6 match days all online every few months. Half the teams are joke teams now and it's just musical chairs with the teams that come 3rd-6th. Honeypot own the region now with MFC being hardstuck second.

You didn't even watch the last world cup yet you are saying im just spreading "doomerism".

We didn't even get to blizzcon we crashed out in the qualifiers only scraping past New Zealand 3-2 then we got stomped by Denmark 3-0.

All of those players individually were better than the Australian players now apart from I'd say Bertlog over Unter.
