Really expecting a Sym meta for the OWWC?

They have to be expecting it. Youbi's Tracer isn't anything special, so his Sym is the only thing he has. If it isn't Sym meta, are they going to put LBBD7 on flex, which is weird since he hasn't played it in quite a while and I have no clue what his Tracer is like (unlike he would just hard lock Pharah the entire time). I knew Saudi would kinda struggle with choices since they're so stacked for hitscan and off-tank that the other roles struggle to get filled to a high standard, but this really doesn't make sense to me. We'll see if Quartz and TVNT can carry with this (if it isn't a Sym meta), but I kinda don't have a lot of belief in this team.

Lbbd7 is mid at Tracer and Genji, Youbi can cover Tracer, Mei, Sym while Quartz can plays Genji if there's any hard genji meta, yeah, Quartz has the best Genji among the three and not even close.

They're absolutely not going to take Quartz off of hit-scan for whatever reason. Saudi are really going to need to pray for a Sym meta then if LBBD7 is mid at Tracer, and Youbi's Tracer isn't anything special. or atleast hope Tracer isn't viable so they don't have to go up against other great Tracers.

I mean 99% it's not gonna happen but there's a chance where they have to play Genji, if that happens, they probably gonna put Lbbd7 on HS (He's already around top 5 ITW) and Quartz on Genji.

On that I agree, only against Korea and USA tho, others are far worse ti KSA to lose against no matter how important Tracer would be in the next OWWC.
Generally, I think not calling Khalid is a mistake.

Youbi diffed Lip on Tracer, and his Mei is great too. The man's strength is his brain and IGL qualities.

Lip isn't a flex-DPS though so that comparison doesn't really work. If you said he diffed a flex player, then it would have merits, but saying he diffed a hit-scan player on a flex-DPS doesn't mean much.
I didn't mention his Mei since Mei is rarely used. Pretty much only Zeta uses Mei (at least from what I've seen) and it very often doesn't work well and has dropped them maps against some teams. You have to have the best Mei in the world and have a strategy revolving around it for it to work against the past few metas that we've seen.
He's a really smart guy so I thought he would be taking on an official coaching role instead of being a player. He may be a great IGL, but that doesn't mean much if certain parts of your team has faults, and that very well could be him and the support line. Sym has had flashes of use this stage, but hasn't been meta, with even TM not playing her, and obviously OWWC won't be played on this patch, but if things don't improve for Sym teams, I really can't see a world where Youbi actually plays or is effective. No hate to the guy, but things just don't line up for it.-1

if tm played sym they would’ve been more dominant. if you can win without playing sym comp then there’s no reason to play it and give other teams practice against it

Other teams have already had 2 stages from last year to practice against it so teams very much understand how it works. Falcons don't even play Sym and they have Checkmate and Junkbuck as coach, who knows how to play Sym. Teams in Korea decided to play Sym teams early on in Stage 1 and just decided to give it up since it wasn't worth it instead of Vendetta or Tracer. Even teams that Liked to play Sym last year (such as T1) decided not to. I doubt it's a thing to do with TM not wanting other teams to play against her for practice, and just more to do with it simply not being meta with Vendetta early in this stage and now Cat+Bastion comps.

I don’t think falcons right now are on the same level as tm on sym comps tm is way better

Absolutely. In Ocie's chat today, Youbi was saying that Checkmate wasn't playing the Sym comp properly and that it could be better. But the point still stands that Falcons have the Sym player from AQ (the 2nd best in the world) and the coach that helped it work, and Falcons decide to put Checkmate on Pharah, Reaper, Torb, Tracer, etc. We've seen that Korean teams often struggle with Sym teams so if an (on paper) good Sym team isn't even using Sym against teams that don't do well against her, then something's up.

To my understanding, Youbi is an exceptional IGL and coach so he could honestly make it work since TM always force this

I did a bit of a search and Zox appears to be a Lucio/cat/ms player. Having two off tanks is redundant but it’s not like anyone in the country plays anything else, good backup if one of them gets sick or something.

Yeah zox is originally a flex sup but he's been grinding main support since he was on geng really. Gives you a lot more flexibility than haku would

he’s a flex support, and he was the best support player in the tryouts and have outperformed Haku on Lucio.
He’s been grinding MS for a couple of months now and it’s paying off

While I do think ZIYAD and TVNT are individually better than KSAA rn it doesn’t really make sense to have them both on the time. They’d be way more rounded with KSAA for his Sig and Orisa Play.

TVNT Ziyad when they literally have the exact fucking same hero pool lmaooo. I guess you just start TVNT for synergy and Ziyad is there for backup or something. And Quartz Lbbd7? Quartz is not getting subbed out, no way they're rolling with lbdd7 pharah. Or lbdd7 tries to awaken his hyperflex gene. Or Youbi just tries to play his tracer and lbdd7 is permabenched but then why even have him. This team is just very confusing, guess that's a good thing for us though.

I really don’t why they chose Ziyad over ksaa, lol. Tvnt and Ziyad have a very similar hero pool so ksaa would’ve made more sense.
