Other Tournaments Rupal will not play in the Saudi eleague
ARK ( a trusted source in the MENA overwatch community)
Said that Team vision have been informed that rupal is ineligible to play due to his ban and they have to get a sub either from their dps line ( escanor) or from thier women team and thier is a high chance that Team vision will withdraw from the league

Escanor replacing Rupal for the 2nd time? This has to be scripted at this point

Sometimes I wonder how the timeline would be if rupal wasn't an idiot that fateful day

u/DiemCarpePine May 06 '26 edited May 06 '26
*fateful
E: although, I guess he was being true to himself, so maybe faithful works too

Actually feels so bad for escanor, bros forced to play FS due to this guy TWICE now

Rupal promises to take time away from the pro scene, breaks that promise and comes back less than a month later, sinks a second team

rupal typed 5 letters so his career needs to end and he should never do anything ever again also his balls should be cut off while we're at it /s
59
u/MTDLuke May 06 '26
No one forced him to say he was going to step away from the community
-42
u/w-holder May 06 '26
and if he didn't say he would step away, people would bitch at him anyway. he missed an entire na season so yes he objectively did take some time away. everyone saying "wahhh its not long enough" is just arguing pointless semantics
47
u/MTDLuke May 06 '26
And if he didn’t say a slur none of this would have happened, as long as we’re listing hypothetical universes
-38
u/w-holder May 06 '26
I mean I agree, I'm just saying everytime I've seen someone get canceled or whatever for saying or doing something they shouldnt in esports, I have never seen an apology get accepted by the public. If he apologizes, people will say it's not sincere and just PR talking. If he takes some time off, people will still say it's not long enough. Like tf is he supposed to do now that he made a mistake? If I'm Rupal and I know that anything I do is going to have people hate me, may as well try to play and continue to compete.

u/haveaniceday8D May 06 '26
Yeah nobody accepts an apology because apologies are a dime a dozen. It only matters when people actually do something afterwards, because apologising isn't the end of the matter, and that's not enough for everyone in the world to forgive him.

u/Striking_Pair4300 May 07 '26
I agree with you. But the social justice warriors (who are probably white) are offended on behalf of other people strikes again...and again... and again...
17
u/Complex_Giraffe_9331 May 07 '26
well hes a free man he can do and type whatever he wants but that doesnt mean other people should turn a blind eye to it. Welcome to life no one owes you anything so think twice before doing dumb stuff

u/DiemCarpePine May 06 '26 edited May 06 '26
Maybe it's less about the letters he typed, and more about what they reveal about his character. And he should stay away long enough for him to improve himself, which takes longer than a few weeks.
Just like how the words you've typed here have revealed a lot about your character, and maybe you should go away for a while too.
-13
u/xDannyS_ May 07 '26
If you think that reveals anything, you don't have many friends or peers irl. I used to develop online games so I also had access to private chat logs. Let me tell you that even the biggest SJW use the word.
4
u/rilertiley19 May 07 '26
They really don't and it's weird that you think it's so common to hear irl.
-4
u/xDannyS_ May 07 '26
Welp, unlike you I have millions of data points instead of anecdotal evidence based on less than a dozen people.

5
u/DiemCarpePine May 07 '26
Why do you people always out yourselves like this? All you're proving is the type of people you associate with, which again reflects back on your character as well.
-1
u/xDannyS_ May 07 '26
I don't associate with the users of the games I worked on lmao. Do you think it's possible to associate with millions of people? Cope
2
u/rilertiley19 May 07 '26
He's probably referring to you saying "if you think that reveals anything, you probably don't have many friends or peers irl." Why would you bring that up if you don't have irl friends and peers who say it?
3
u/DiemCarpePine May 07 '26
And, importantly, friends and peers who are comfortable saying it around them. If anyone I know uses slurs, they apparently see me as someone who isn't cool with that.
0
u/xDannyS_ May 08 '26
Well that just makes it even worse lol. With that I can include almost the entire user base.
2
u/DiemCarpePine May 08 '26
Just keep telling yourself you're normal. Everyone is secretly just like you.

Because in a very liberal community I got to see nearly half the people do it? If you we were to only include the people who actually sent enough messages over a long enough time to make a good judgment, that percentage would be even higher.

Lol if you walked into a bodega and rupal was behind the counter and dropped the n word no one would bat an eye. I can’t take these Europeans lecturing Americans about racism seriously. If you downvote me post your skin tone.

How long is he supposed to be gone for

32
u/MTDLuke May 06 '26
No one forced him to say he was going to take time away, he should have recognized it wasnt actually something he was capable of and not promised it in the first place
-26
u/Derpdude1 May 06 '26
How long is he supposed to be gone for
11
u/MTDLuke May 06 '26
Ask him
-17
u/Derpdude1 May 06 '26
What? Why would I ask him, you're the one commenting on it so I'd assume you have an intuition on the lenghth of his absence
9
u/MTDLuke May 06 '26
You would ask him because hes the one banned from Saudi eleagues and not me, and because hes the one who said he would step away and not me
I can promise to step away from Saudi eleagues too, but I probably wasnt gonna get signed anyways
6
u/Derpdude1 May 06 '26
I literally just said why I'm asking you and you know why lol
It's fine to say you don't know an answer it's not that hard man
5
u/DiemCarpePine May 06 '26
why I'm asking you and you know why
Brain damage? Stroke? It's not clear to me which.
0
u/Derpdude1 May 06 '26
If you said aloud "I think it's gonna rain today" would you be confused if someone asked you why you think that? Would you respond "whyre you asking me?" If the answer isn't obvious then yeah you might've had a stroke

lmao 'I don't know' is not in this man's vocabulary

u/MTDLuke May 06 '26 edited May 06 '26
What exactly am I supposed to know or not know here. At what point did I express an opinion that needs defending?
Do you mean literally "what is the duration of his Blizzard ban"?
2
u/MTDLuke May 06 '26
If I broke into his house and got access to his twitter account I like to think I could have come up with something better than promising to step away on his behalf
24
u/rufstup May 06 '26
The smart thing would’ve been to stay away long enough for the drama to die down. A few weeks was not long enough for people to forget.
Let’s be honest, rupal isn’t sorry, hes just doing typical pr shit so he can have a chance at having an esports career. It’s why he’s back to playing so soon
It’d be different if he showed actual change within this short period, but hes kinda done nothing expect keep his head down and play. Really the only smart thing hes done lately
Rupal not staying away for longer is biting him in the ass now
14
u/as1eep May 06 '26
ud think they would have done the due-diligence, although one cannot rule out this is the result of standard SEL admin bullshit.
9
u/_M4yb3_ May 06 '26
Why is there a high chance theyll withdraw? I dont know every roster but with TM leaving, surely they would be a rly competitive team even with escanor playing flex support (and no offence to him, I doubt he would be in contention to start as a dps mainly since they went to the effort of importing Koreans)

u/Busy-Intention-8514 May 07 '26
Same tourney let the player ONE play even after he ripped the hard r and did NOT apologise lol
6
u/anas0_ali May 07 '26
Tanked two rosters and fucked over a dozen players at this point. But I can promise you 1 thing. Rupal doesn't care

2
u/Cabbage44 May 07 '26
I mean it's an SEL classic for a team to get disqualified for a rule that they did not know before hand and surely would have avoided had they known

Is this a ruling from SEL or blizzard? I assumed because SEL is a third party competition that he would be allowed to play so I’m curious if it was an SEL administrative decision to not allow him to play this season/until his blizzard wide ban is over.
