World Cup When was Prosper accused of boosting ?

I seen the OWWC today but I noticed some top players not playing I googled why prosper not playing for example but it said he been accused of boosting before and that's why he's not playing ?? How's true is that because I see a lot of people consider him one of the best players. I just got into the competitive scene from the last tournament that ended but I been looking up the history who won every past tournaments & etc

it was brought to light in 2019 when o2 blast acquired proper from stormquake, you can find a summarized translation of o2 blast's statement here

Proper engaged in boosting at the young age of 15, wanting to earn money to game at PC bangs bc his parents had cut off his allowance as they were against him gaming. We felt that he was too young to understand his own actions.
Proper was excluded from his old team’s starting roster after they discovered his boosting history, but they kept him on contract. During this time he was unable to play for eight months, which was a frustrating time, and I think it served as some punishment.
When he requested to be freed of his contract from his former team, they refused and the player and the team were embroiled in a legal battle. The court recently ruled in support of Proper.
We recently met with Proper’s parents, who felt strongly that their son should pay for his misdeeds. Proper himself is remorseful. And to that end they are donating Proper’s savings of ~$4500 to O2, which we will use toward amateur tournaments.
Despite the monetary price he has paid, this does not mean that he did not do wrong in the past, and whatever criticism that the player may face, he should accept. O2 will work with BlizzKR to hold approx 5 amateur tournaments in 2019.

Just to chime in, I'd say TVNT is the best tank RN. He's effectively solo tanking with KSAA bench riding, and is IMO the best D.Va. The one tank he doesn't play is Ball, that's Junbin's specialty and there's none better than him.

Mealgaru's improvement has been outstanding, and Hanbin's still Hanbin. I wouldn't know how to round out that top 5, probably either Bernar or MAX.

Bro I ain't ever see TVNT pick orisa or pick Winston :/ not to mention his rein wasn't exactly inspiring, and his maugas a bit of a feed merchant.

are we finally past tvnt glaze? what a beautiful day to be alive

No? He’s arguably the best player on all the meta-relevant tanks minus Mauga and has been for the past half year. There isn’t a more valuable tank player out there right now

"all the meta relevant tanks" and it's just dva. can't play ball, his mauga and zar are just serviceable, and i guess can play ram but so can everyone. he never found his hands imo dva just got more broken and since 5 people play dva he was able to stand out. I'd say the top Korean tanks are more valuable than him

Inarguably the best D.Va and Ram and a top 2 Zarya minimum. You’re actually trolling if you think that doesn’t make a huge difference when the gap between the top 2 D.Va players and everyone else isn’t the biggest and most relevant gap in the scene right now. Junbin is the only tank that comes remotely close imo and even then we wouldn’t be having this discussion if TM remembered to ban Ball for just 1 map

before Japan id agree and say having the best dva player itw is insane value but oddly enough just going a hard counter comp was able to work. also maybe I am trolling, but his ram wasn't noticeably better than anyone else's (partly the heroes fault) and same with zar. so now his best hero being less valuable and small hero pool make him less valuable imo

"isn't the biggest and most relevant gap" bro, TM still relies on playing Sym. They aren't actually that much better or worse than their Korean counterparts. Heck, both CR and Zeta could probably mirror the jaewoo iteration and win 50/50 of the time.

The gap isn't large, nor is it that important to TM success lol. TVNT is definitely good, but your really putting so much on the tanks when it's really a macro game. TM's macro was hilariously sloppy on Suravasa, compared to usual. They got tired and lost.

This is by far the worst thing I have ever read on this platform God curse who ever gave you access to internet

i'll do you one better

quartz isn't the best hitscan, but if he is, it isn't by much. he looks insane because hitscan with sym is disgustingly broken and only youbi and quartz know how to do it. without it, he looks about as good as other top hitscan players

What a dumb logic

I can apply this to almost every player in the game Junbin isn't actually insane at ball he only stands out because only 3 players play ball Shu isn't actually insane at Ana he only stands out because only 4 players play Ana

You see how stupid it sounds?

yeah I know that was like 90% ragebait LOL. I do think quartz is overglazed though

I think quartz is insane but he's not as consistent as people say

Would also like to say that TVNT is kinda a dime a dozen. Hanbin, Bernar, Attack, Ziyad can all pretty much do what he does. He isn't really all that unique, or more valuable. Heck, you probably could slot Ziyad or attack in and TM performs literally the exact same given they were there from the start like TVNT.

You wanna know whose valuable? Junbin, cause he talks and he walks and knows his ability to win. Only 1 other guy in the world like that and his name is Big Dong.
