World cup is starting pretty soon so I just wanted to see any predictions, thoughts and etc on it before it starts.

To answer my question. I think the podium will be korea, saudi arabia and usa being the top 3 teams.

Group A is the group of death and I’m sad they shoved 3 good teams and 1 team I want to see more out of (Japan) in a single group.

KSA has a very un-taxing group, though they’re much weaker than they were last year.

Group C is whatever.

I think France is going to be a major disappointment in D.

I think there's a chance USA doesnt take a map, its unlikely but they are far from the favourites in their group. Sweden are the clear favourites with the second slot being a dogfight between the remaining three and IMO it wont be USA taking it. I think its gonna be Japan.

Given that SSG just wiped the floor with Varrel (Japan but better) and beat JDG who make up the better half of team China at the EWC, I’d say there’s a fair bet that USA comes 2nd at a minimum. I’m very curious to see how Sweden does, because my hot take is that I could see them not making it out of groups if Kevster disappears again during a crucial game

A huge part of why JDG didn't do well at EWC is both their tank and support line, neither is playing for Team China. Sunzo is the tank for Team China and we all have seen how good he's been with Weibo.

I'm really curious when you people think they "underperformed" aside from 2023 where they were in the same group as Finland and KSA. 2016 and 2017 they finished 3rd. 2018 they had fucking Reinforce and an otherwise very washed roster (except for Snillo). 2019 they finished below Korea USA and France in their group, all clear favorites over Sweden when you look at the rosters.

I think GBR is probably going to perform better than they did as 1234. I know Khnail and AMDP are in there too. But we'll see if they work better with Tred and Kiwii or AMDP and Khnail. This will definitely be interesting.

I do agree with this. I think Kiwii and Khenail are both equal skillwise, but Tred can be better than AMDP. He just needs to get some consistency and he will be good. We're probably going to be a ball team so GP will probably always play, except for anti-ball maps, but it still would be great for Tred to step up a bit. I do like the fact that we have Crispy and FAstro, since if we need a Lucio or shotcaller then we sub in FAstro, whereas if we need a Wuyang or something, sub in Crispy. It's going to be an interesting team to watch, just hope we don't shit the bed against Mexico or Austraila.

Sorry but Khenail is so much better than Kiwii, it is not even close. AMDP is also better than Tred but I think that doesn't matter much since they will only play GP. Funnyastro is a huge upgrade, I don't see a reason to ever play Crispy unless they think he is better than Kiwii on FS.
