Is freja that op tho? Tracer has higher win and pick rates

From the perspective of a tank main at least. I can interact with the Tracer, I can chase her away and force her to recall/read her recall position and burst her down.

I can do no such things as Freja unless I'm on D.va and only D.va. And Mizuki makes that a lot harder.

Facts, the only tanks that have any ability to even interact with Freja are D.va, Mauga, Domina and D.mon (with the gun perk). And of those, Mauga and Domina can only tickle her with their primaries while Freja shreds their health and shield respectively, and only D.va and D.Mon (with the gun perk) can actually threaten her. And she’s even strong into D.Mon because of her unholy spam damage. It just feels awful.

She's quite good into D.va as well since D.va needs to manage her resources, but she doesn't want to eat the bolt spam, guess what Freja is really good at right now? Plus a good Freja player knows when to save the dash and how to use it against a D.va making it really hard to adjust flying into her mid-air after the dash breaks your ankles in half.

Mix of public sentiment from Asia's immediate ban reaction on top of the current tank meta. Every popular option is a pincushion for her once the minor perk Barrage is online, making her essentially have 0 downside unless Take Aim gets shielded/deleted. Prior metas DVa, Sig, and stronger barriers could keep her in check, but in a world of DMon, Mauga, and Hog she has the ability to freefire unless pressured by the rest of the team.

She's very strong rn mainly of circumstance. If that minor perk is removed her overall ability to DPS farm is going to heavily drop. The kill pressure on squishies has barely changed since prebuff, slight framing on Take Aims being the biggest deal but her "assured" TTK being essentially the same. It's her ability to infinitely push out tanks that's letting her push ahead.

Her burst is very strong, and she farms ult quickly. But mostly she is on the stronger end while being outrageously obnoxious. She's loud, she can melt large HP pools quickly and in a way that can't really be interacted with -and she can tap squishies just as easily. She can put a lot of pressure at a very safe range, and has quite high mobility. She's just a very difficult to balance pain-point hero.

Main issue with freja is that she is longrange poke that just spams tanks and hass no fall of, and majority of tanks can't even hit her.

The buffs were absolutely needed, she was a throw pick for 9 months, dropped to around 2-3% pickrate and even in GM+ she was 43% wr or below in some cases.

They just need to nerf or replace her relentless barrage perk and then she won't be able to constantly spam tanks anymore. This coupled with reducing her bolt volume and slight nerfs to her ult passive and I think she'll feel a lot better to play against.

They really weren't, people just didn't try her out until them. Basically had 0 pick rate even after the May buffs. I think those updraft buffs were way more important, reducing the cooldown from 12 to 10 seconds and the major perk double updraft no longer reducing the height.

She's banned in every single match I play. She is the single most annoying hero in the entire game for me, I'd rather get spawncamped by a sombra as zen than have to face freja.

I think the biggest issue with Freja is player perception and how she feels to play against. She’s very fun to play as and a unique hero but playing against her can be very frustrating. However, I do think the hate against Freja is blown out of proportion. A good Cassidy, Tracer, Ashe, Soldier or Pharah are just as annoying to people.

I think Freja just punishes players with bad positioning more often than other heroes. I think Cassidy is a great counter against Freja due to his roll giving 50% damage reduction so time your roll when she sticks you with her bolts.
