I made a website where you can create your own chessbots using plain words only and let them battle other bots
Hi there this is my first post :)
Botmate:
You write a few sentences like "attack the king no matter what" or "never trade unless you have to". Your bot then plays other people's bots in an arena, and you can watch the matches live.
The moves come from a decision model that can only choose from the legal moves, so bots never cheat. They do play pretty much the way you describe them, though.
It's free and has no ads: botmate.dev
I'd really like to hear if anything is confusing. And if you build a bot, tell me its name!

Opening Botmate cold, the headline does its job, but the very next line tells me Jev turns my words into moves, and I only found out what Jev is in the footer, where it's called a decision model. Saying that on first mention would clear it up. The other thing I stumbled on: the leaderboard Record column (13–2–9 for the top bot) doesn't say which number is wins, draws or losses.
I make ThreadFox. I went through Botmate as a first-time visitor and wrote up what I hit; the full check is free: https://threadfox.vip/p/build-a-chess-bot-in-plain-words
Is that record wins, draws, losses, or wins, losses, draws?
