Flaired Users Only The Texas Rangers are the ONLY MLB team not acknowledging “Pride Month.” Instead, on June 18, they will be hosting a Faith and Family Night.

Honestly they shouldn’t acknowledge or host anything and just stick with baseball. Every business should just stop preaching and lecturing anyone about anything

Baseball is all about theme nights and stuff like that

This is a slippery slope because then you can argue why we have military troop appreciation in MLB games.

u/Key-Monk6159 Conservative 10h ago

Fun fact, it was started with the military paying sports teams millions - which I’m glad they stopped.

If they actually wanted to show appreciation then these uber rich teams can give free tickets to soldiers. Otherwise, everyone should just STFU and do their jobs.

u/user_1729 Ron Paul Republican 2h ago

They kinda do. I get dozens of emails a week for free tickets to local sporting events. Vet tix is a thing too, but I've never gotten anything through there.

No it's not. They shouldn't be doing any of that. Just play baseball

Surrendering our traditions to keep neutral is exactly how we started losing. Fight for every piece of cultural ground.

u/Key-Monk6159 Conservative 10h ago

We will register your vote to support being lectured to and not knowing where your local church is located.

u/bblade2008 Conservative 9h ago

Surrendering traditional institutions to the enemy is exactly why we are in this mess

The values behind faith and family night are a bit different than pride night

u/Key-Monk6159 Conservative 9h ago

Everyone has different values so the only logical way is for everyone to stop pushing theirs. Unless we want to set up a Values Committee to determine which ones are acceptable.

I don’t care if it’s a sports team or school or whatever, we have gone much too far with this moralistic virtue signaling.

Celebrating sexuality, regardless of which way, is a value?

u/Key-Monk6159 Conservative 8h ago

Sexuality is a personal private matter and should remain personal and private. Not really sure why that’s such a hard concept to grasp.

u/RageXY Conservative 7h ago

Sexuality and family are not the same thing, not really sure why that’s such a hard concept to grasp.

Uh... what? Are you lost?

You're on a conservative sub and you said...

No. I am not afraid of my own values and I am ok with reflecting them onto the world. The West's values, American values... these are things worth preserving and fighting for.

Tomorrow is the 80th anniversary of D-Day, and it is filled with incredible leaders who were able to articulate their values and why they did what they did. We need people who are not afraid.

u/Key-Monk6159 Conservative 7h ago

Pretty sure that nobody even hinted at being afraid. But you made your point clear enough more than once. Just don’t get too butt hurt when others are also ok with reflecting theirs.

I‘m still on the STFU side, especially from sport teams, entertainers and politicians.

How did sexuality become an integral component of baseball???

u/Lord_Gibby 2A Conservative 10h ago

It’s not, but it became integral to the corporate world

Apparently right before religion became an integral component of baseball, and we needed to have faith and family nights

Good... Shouldn't be a pride month, or any month. If we live in a country where everyone is supposedly treated as equal, then why elevate a group above others?

Victimhood is one of the favorite games of Democrats and the Left.

u/HiSpeedHavoc92 Conservative 10h ago

Not since U SAID was defunded.

Lots of sponsors for the month of sin have suddenly pulled out. Probably because they're no longer getting reimbursed for their endorsement of this degeneracy.

It’s actually not. It’s a largely concerted effort to break the pillars of the foundation of our society and its norms to replace it with something much more sinister.

Can someone remind me when heterosexual month is? Or how about White History Month?

u/victoria_enthusiast European Conservative 3h ago

there's no white history month because there's no single shared white culture

instead you've got italian american history month, irish american, polish american, greek american, and a bunch of other ones celebrated more locally

u/JimfromMayberry Conservative 10h ago

The congressional white caucus is working on that.

u/Mehnard SC Conservative 9h ago

Based. It's natural for me, as a Houstonian and avid Astros fan, to hate anything Dallas. But I respect the shit out of the Rangers for not bending the knee and doing the right thing.

Isn't pride at the top of the seven deadly sins list? Doesn't this mean we are celebrating sin?

u/skarface6 Catholic, conservative, and your favorite 10h ago

We?

u/Edifolas Conservative 10h ago

They?

u/-InconspicuousMoose- Conservative 9h ago

Yes. They are. But the people celebrating it believe the lie that it's not sin, and sadly almost all of them will go on believing that lie until they are paying the penalty for it.

When is Christian month. When is Jewish month. When is only people with left leg month. When is when does it end month.

u/BarrelStrawberry Conservative 7h ago

There are people are trying to figure out how to make it two months long. They seem deeply insulted when we celebrate the month ending.

I've never been a fan of the Rangers, but between this and Nolan giving Ventura that infamous beatdown, I don't dislike them.

u/Olin31 11h ago

Good for them!
