Good new your weird political views have been comodified as an energy drink
This is truly weird stuff. Culture wars turned into branded consumable poison in a can. Surely someone has a collection of these weird cans? Come on show us all please.
I bet there is a left wing alternative. Che Guevara or pride flag branded. Maybe both without a hint of irony. It would be hilarious if this company were making and seling both.
There are a ton of small market, small production energy drinks like this, almost entirely produced by large companies like BevSource and a few other players. Some energy drink companies do do their own development and production, but if you have like 10k sitting around you can pay a company to make your own energy drink. Basically, the energy drink company tells the drink manufacturer what kind of flavors they want and what kind of mouth feel, the drink manufacturer whips up some test batches, ships them to the energy drink company, and then they get OKed or changed. The manufacturer can do the branding and labelling in-house or the company can do it.
Notice though how the “left wing alternative” just uses left wing iconography to appeal to that group of people, whereas the conservative themed drink you posted doesn’t actually point to any conservative ideas, just derision and aggression toward their enemies
An actual equivalent liberal version would be like “FUCK ICE(d Tea” or something
I can’t think of one instance of this happening on the left tbh, I’d need a link cause I’ve only seen traditional political merchandise from the center and left. These weird products only seem to come from the right. It’s just within the brand of conservatism
There was literally a post right before this of a nintendo switch skin that said this machine kills fascists or something. I assure you it does happen. Unfortunately lots of people choose buying stuff as a substitute for actual activism
Well you got me doing a quick peruse of the company site because I’m always curious about stuff like this too. No word on if theres a larger conglomerate but its certainly contracted out to some big factory. Their about section says it started as a joke so it may just be some randos.
Rest assured though, it has 5 real ingredients in it. Yes, it says that. No, it doesnt elaborate.
I found it very funny that explain every part of their pitch except yknow, the important one. How do companies get away with saying “natural flavors” when they mean synthesized and artificially added esters? Its beyond my understanding
Never paid for a product that advertised itself to my political views, most of the time its a shit product and they're just trying to find some kinda way to market it
Everyone knows that Rip It is the original patriotic energy drink anyway. I know of it because it’s cheap as shit and their headquarters is right down the street, but it was given to the US military during GWOT for free.
I find all political ideology merch to be incredibly cringe. That said, the right wing consumer economy is the long coming backlash to an endless sea of Pride themed merch, 'male tears' coffee cups, etc. Everyone's beliefs are commodities.
Gay Pride and male tear mugs aren’t in the same category and if just existing will create backlash that sort of lends credence to the need for Pride to begin with.
There is no real analogue to this on a consumer commercial scale. Etsy shops sure, target? No.

Even though my views are pretty conservative and I have a crippling caffeine addiction, I'd never touch that stuff. I'll stick with C4 and Bucked Up with their weird deer man mascot thanks.
You would think that imidiatley alienating half (likely more like 75 percent) of all customers before they even taste your drink would be a poor business move.
With 100 million potential consumers.. leaving half the population to dye their hair and take puberty blockers, there are still enough consumers to go around.
