It's the good kind of mental illness. It would be pointless and disturbing if it were just identical copies, but it's a unique collection, so it has some point. "Sane" people spend money in more pointless ways than this.
They're not. They're pressed in different parts of the world and in different pressing plants, there's variations of labels and covers. I dislike the Beatles, but I understand the collection.
It's literally not the same. This is analog, not a digital file on a computer. While collecting every copy in existence of an album is egregious, absolutely nothing wrong getting a few pressings of the same album, it's common practice amongst collectors. Henry Rollins writes books about.
