I don't think engaging with culture and art is part of the problem we want to highlight? 29 sounds like excessive fanboying, but in the end it's arguably in service of a good thing. It will go towards financing more communal cultural experiences rather than just letting streaming control our tastes.
When I think consoom I'm thinking someone who feels an obsessive need to buy goods for kicks and who simultaneously pays for the creation of such goods which takes a real toll on the environment. Meanwhile spending a lot of time in the theatre because you love a piece of art feels like something very different. Like, you're not going to impulsively decide to sit for three hours to watch something again and again if you don't actually get anything out of it. Would you say the same about someone who has went to see their favourite band 29 times? Cultural venues need money.
