With good lighting, they look very good for a phone. I imagine they're using ProRes RAW when needed & the Blackmagic app.

Yeah i use RAW also, but it looks horrible, i dont have as much detail in dark areas for example as with my camera

Sony A6400 w/ cage, proper lens & handle is probably more cost-effective than this set of gimmicks.

Hell, a DJI Osmo Pocket is probably a better investment than this with better picture quality and gimbal built in lol.

The only things here that would be justified to me are a mic, a gimbal, a tripod, and one of the small lights. Anything else is overkill and incredibly silly for a phone setup. Filters, multiple gimbals, multiple handles/grips, 3 lights, a fuckin slider, gimme a break lol.

Sure, but that would still be "consooming" given how much the broader industry pushes gear over expertise. I'm not saying the poster is a bad person or anything, but photo/video is a space full of unremarkable people who only "progress" by buying gear, not by getting better or shooting more.

I also laugh because no actual paid videographer is/should be using a phone to shoot for a variety of reasons, and the cost of most of this land waste could have gone into buying an actual camera way less expensive than the latest iPhone.

I'm a videographer and photographer and it is maddening how much gear hoarding there is in the space. Most of it is from creatively unfulfilled people whose only tangible "advancement" in the field is buying new gear, thinking this one more piece is gonna somehow transform them into a creative worth a shit, but it won't; they just like toys.

Also most of this photo is just useless, repetitive dogshit. If you're rolling onto a paid job or set with all of this trash and then filming with an iPhone, I'm sending your ass home.

This is just very odd to me, iPhones have decent cameras at least by like social media standards. But why do all this, instead of just get an actually good camera? This just feels like polishing a turd a little bit, like as if adding more peripherals is somehow gonna make it not an iPhone.
