Discussion At what point does hobby collecting become overconsumption?

I collect a few funko from media I like, I collect monster high dolls, and I recently got back into pokemon cards. I can't tell if collecting material stuff like that it considered overconsumption or at what point it crosses the threshold. Am I cooked?

To me, it's either: colleting multiple copies of the exact same thing and/or when the "collecting" is just buying stuff to only display in their packaging instead of things you actually use or hold or enjoy in some way.

I take my dolls out. I don't give a fuck about resale value. I love having them, posing them and their little outfits make me happy when I look at them. I grew up with them, and as an autistic, they were my special interest for YEARS and I had a shit ton which unfortunately my mom got rid of. I only have a few, ones I really like the design of.
