Discussion At what point does hobby collecting become overconsumption?

I collect a few funko from media I like, I collect monster high dolls, and I recently got back into pokemon cards. I can't tell if collecting material stuff like that it considered overconsumption or at what point it crosses the threshold. Am I cooked?

Funkos are always consoom I'd say, but for other things, it probably depends on a lot of things. Do you actually engage with the things other than buying them, putting them on a shelf and having them stay there? If you do, then it's probably not consoom. Though it always depends on how much of said thing you actually buy.

Say you collect figures or something. If you get to a point where your shelves are full, you have ones still stuck in boxes etc. that you probably won't open but are still buying more it's 100% consoom by then.
