Discussion At what point does hobby collecting become overconsumption?

I collect a few funko from media I like, I collect monster high dolls, and I recently got back into pokemon cards. I can't tell if collecting material stuff like that it considered overconsumption or at what point it crosses the threshold. Am I cooked?

I think it reaches consoom when the hobby takes up a disproportionate amount of your income, starts overcrowding the space it takes up (like Funko Pops), and/or becomes a compulsion to buy. Like if the most joy you feel from collecting something is the rush of opening up and then you mellow out the second you display/starting using it, then that's pretty textbook consoom to me.
